    DUDE Yes! Captain mode is pretty much a pve mode with some pvp sprinkled in.

    If it was 2v2, one player will approach the archer and engage in melee while the spear user will keep the cav at a distance and support the sword inf
    If it was 2v1, you are getting flanked one way or the other

    It doesnt matter, because the spear will not stop the horse. it will probably go something like this in a 2v2

    1 infantry breaks off to engage archer, archer fires a couple of arrows hitting infantry 1 and maybe hitting infantry 2 who will deal with the cav.
    But the cav, who is supposed to be dealt with by infantry 2 because he has a spear, will more than likely charge the spear player because everyone knows spears suck as anti-cav in Bannerlord.

    Even if the spearman can stop the horse, the horse will double tap boost away with almost no damage taken because horses in bannerlord are stupid strong.

    I really hate how the double tap boost makes it so easy to get away from your mistakes in bannerlord. In Warband if your horse got reared, the horse would take a couple of seconds to accelerate back to full speed allowing the spearman to switch to a real weapon and deal damage. Now the horse gets reared and turns on the speed boost and disappears before the spearman can even get a second hit in. Add in heavy armor and the horse becomes an unkillable tank.
  3. Spears need to do more damage against horses

    at the moment when a horse charges full speed into a spear, at the most (Depending on spear) you get around 60ish damage done on a 200HP horse with armor. Now if you use a javelin and get a headshot, you are able to do like 150 damage. Doesnt really make sense to me. It just makes spears...

    I personally think cavalry are very balanced right now (aside from the Battanian faction which needs a buff) and if you are at all decent to the game it's pretty obvious where the weaknesses of cavalry are. Most of the issues players are having cavalry right now are just because they are not experienced in the game and don't understand the weaknesses of cav.


    This is not true AT ALL. What are you on buddy? Have you ever fought a battle with another cav with yourself as cav? The speed you are traveling most definitely effects the damage dealt both too and from the rider.

    Yes it affects the rider but not the horse. try it now, if you charge a horse full speed into a INFANTRY pike/lance/spear you do not get a damage buff because the infantryman is not moving as fast as a horse. It should be similar to mordhau where the spear gets a damage buff when a horse rides full speed into a spear.

    The most damage I have ever done is like 60 damage to a HORSE with a spear.

    -Their spear easily outreach the spears of infantry, which makes 0 sense whatsover.
    This isn't true at all. It takes a lot of experience playing cav to be able to get around spear infantry. Lances aren't any longer, the players you are facing are probably just better at their angles of attack than you are.

    I think this depends on the spear, off the top of my head the only factions that have infantry with longer spears than their cavalry counterparts is aserai, battania, and vlandia (They get pikes). Khergits and sturgians only have short spears for their infantry with only like 140 length (I could be wrong about this). While most if not all horseman have lances that are much longer than short spears.

    I think this is more an issue with the class system, if we were able to choose what weapons we can spawn with it wouldnt be an issue at all but for some factions like khergits and sturgia, you cant even get a long enough spear to counter horses. Even if you do get the pike class, usually you have to sacrifice the pike for no shield so you get destroyed by archers anyways so its a lose lose, especially in skirmish.

    They need to get rid of the class system and allow us to choose what weapons we can use and I think it will solve a lot of imbalance issues in the game.
  5. Multiplayer is dying.

    You are complaining about many things. Why are you not looking for your own solutions?

    Let me explain it you you, because most of your ''problems'' can be resolved instantly without struggle.

    1: If you get annoyed by fighting premades; go do some games with premades yourself. This way you can get your own team on a higher level too. I only see positive things here.
    2: You claim to have to wait 30 minutes for a 10minute siege. This is not true lol. Most of the people that queue for siege will immediatly queue again after a round of siege is done. This means that if you queue again immediatly after the siege you are almost 90% sure to get in a game instantly again.

    Your arguments are total nonsense. Go wreak havoc elsewhere

    and what happens if you miss the "queue" when it restarts? now you have to wait even more time for that ONE siege game to finish because you cant join mid game...

    maybe if we had a dedicated siege server we could join when one person leaves instead of waiting for a whole game to finish and praying to the queue gods they will let us in to the one or 2 siege games in rotation.
  6. Cavalry : more dmg based on speed issue

    In warband, cavalry can also easily one shot infantry and I don't really see any complaints here.
    Couched lance is difficult to aim properly and can be easily avoided if the infantry had some awareness. It is also really easy to stab the cav in the face with a spear or shoot them to disrupt their couching. Both of these are all nearly one shot, prob at least 60% of health gone. I've been one-shotted without speed by crossbowmen as well. Lets keep in mind that cav is ridiculously expensive, almost 2x the cost of a peasant, so they should be strong.

    Yeah cav should be strong and expensive but they shouldnt be like the M1 Abrams tank of the medieval world. At the moment horses (Not the rider) can survive like 3 - 4 full speed direct hits from an infantry spear/pike/lance. Even with the rearing animation, the infantry spear/pike/lance wont be able to get another hit because of how they changed spear damage in bannerlord. In warband you can easily get an extra hit or two if you "spin" attack to get the momentum and I understand why they removed it, since it looks silly.

    But now if you are able to rear a horse with a spear either:

    1. you bounce the attack because you are too close or the horse armor is too heavy
    2. switch to another weapon and the horse has already ridden away with the "Double tap speed boost"
    3. you get counter stabbed by the horse man and cant attack again before he runs away

    In warband most horsemen know not to risk a head on charge with spears because getting caught by a spear can be the end for the horseman. In Bannerlord horses are strong tanks so most people dont care about charging into a spear because they know their horse will more than likely survive the hit. At least this is what I have noticed from playing skirmish.
