Surprisingly, against low-mid armored units, stabs with a knife are super fast and crazy at killing people (I don't use them however). Spears I usually stab while running at people, doing any real close combat with multiple people I have trouble with, assuming I'm wielding a spear., it just bounces off.
*Kick* "Ok I got it this time" *Stabs* oh, he came at me too fast, here we go again. *Kick* "Ok, Stabby stab--" enemy comes in from the right stabbing you and killing you.
