    thats bleedin strange that it happens in every fight... im gonna check that out. Eh, I'm not sure what he meant by dueling. I think he was basically talking about the little scuffle that happens at the end of a few scenarios. Theres no random fight NPCs ingame at the moment.

    Right now I'm extending the original plot a bit, but I'm gonna add in a lot of extras that would be similiar to that. Mugging people on the street, tavern brawls, breaking into homes etc...

    Its not exactly an all round solution of a guide. It just explains how to take advantage of the one extra door in zendar for a house or whatever.

    Yeah, Septa, I've done that using the ingame editor, but theres no way to make those passages to actually lead to anywhere. Certainly with the unofficial editor anyway. I need to switch to the module system for one or two things, just gotta figure out how to upload all my info into my modules somehow. Would be sweet if you could easily work between the two.

    OK, that is a problem. Does this happen in any fight or just when you're on Layatases' side? I think I forgot to change Layatases' mission template there. I'll look into that.

    Thanks for the feedback everyone. Good to know it has at least some potential. I'll get cracking on these branches from the original and hopefully I can develop a few solid storys that actually go somewhere.

    hatimkh, thats actually not so much a bug as it is laziness on my part! The reward part is by no means where that conversation is meant to end and when completed there'll be a few variables put in place that'll stop that from happening.

    Oh... Did anyone find it annoying that you could have the same conversation with Donnacah over and over? I've been meaning to add in variables that stop him ever saying the same thing twice, but he was the first NPC I created before I understood variables and the conversation is so muddled that it would be tough to fix up.

    The Python stuff really isn't that hard when you get the hang of it. I started modding M&B two and a half months ago, without ever having modded anything before, and without any kind of programming background.

    The Python stuff is more powerful than the editor in my opinion, and I just can't work when I'm continuously brought out of my rhythm by having to click into a different menu for this, and a different menu for that... I feel better having it all at my fingertips in my utility of choice: NotePad. :razz:

    I'm in the same boat you were in 2 and half months ago. I think I'm gonna just ease in with the unofficial editor. I'll give python a go one day I'm sure. I'm just anxious to produce something I guess

  11. What do you use the Unofficial Editor for?

    I use it to make new missions and entirely new mod and everything.... I love it and need it. Keep it up. Its really appreciated by us lot who can't/don't want to understand python!

    Thanks, man! Strangely enough I've figured out how to do the fight scene by creating a totally new mission template in the unofficial editor which I'm pretty happy about. Yeah, I figured the conversation would have to be done through the modules. I can't really do that because if I use build_module I'll lose all the conversations I've created with the unofficial and I haven't a breeze how to update the modules.

    For the fighting part, I've tried to simulate an in-tavern fight where a 1v1 fight occurs. Heres what I did as the consequences for the end of conversation:

    modify_visitors_at_site(SCENE[scn_the_happy_boar])
    reset_visitors()
    set_visitor(1, TROOP[trp_sergeant_layatase])
    set_jump_mission(MSN_TPL[mst_tavern_fight])
    jump_to_scene(SCENE[scn_the_happy_boar], 0)

    But it's not really getting me anywhere. The game crashes every time and I get the, "player not placed on the scene!" message. I've hit a block on what to change in order to make it work. I'm trying to learn (totally new to any of this), but theres only so much my minute brain figure out on its own!

    For the tavern fight mission template, I edited the arena fight somewhat, but I'm not entirely sure what I did there. I have two entry points (0 and 8 }, two teams (1 and 2), both are 1 spawn and both are group 0... (not sure what these terms mean, but they might be important) I've ticked scene source and visitor scource for both..

    any suggestions would be great.

    Yeah, looks like its gonna be tough to do right...

    OK, I've figured for the conversation switching part that I have to do something with the Other Troop option (I took a peak at what they do in Storymod :smile:), but I don't know how to make that option available. Its always greyed out..
