    Yea right, balancing factions is totally stupid and unnecessary because of uber-hardcore players like you. But think of it in those terms then: Since everyone enjoys the challenge, the Khergit team would be overfilled soon and people would have to join the easymode (other than Khergit) team eventhough they would much rather prefer a challenge!

    Plus all factions need to be tested equally for the beta testing,  random is the best option for sure.

    The suggestion was not about how you can improve testing, but how about you can actually improve the game by balancing it. If one factions is never chosen under the poll system, there's obviously something wrong with it which should then be separately fixed.

    Why would changing factions have to result in changing map also? Also, changing the faction of your team should obviously be decided by your team. Your enemies should not be able to participate in that poll.

    yes, but for example in contrast to vaegirs, the dismounted khergits are rather sucky. They are mainly made for horse combat and have major disadvantages to the other factions in combat on foot.

    yes, good idea. This really is needed, especially when certain factions as you described literally don't stand a chance in certain maps.

    Additionally, you might as well just remove the possibility for Khergits to be a faction chosen for the village map.

    As the siege mod imo is currently a little dull, I suggest to spawn a battering ram on the spawning location of the attacking team in the beginning of the game. Players can then move the battering ram forward in front of the gate. When it reaches the gate, "using" it will make the battering ram...

    Well, since the two melee factions (rhodoks and nords) now also have cavalry, basically all factions have access to a decent ranged unit, a decent melee unit and a decent cavalry unit. Except for Khergits. Horses are really good for the random plains territory; for all other territories at least a few melee units are needed for a team to stand a good chance. Another issue is that Khergits are the only race that has only cavalry, but it doesn't even have the best cavalry. I say give them bigger shields and maybe each unit a few athletics points. Because the siege map for example can't be won through cavalry only as attackers.

    Sorry if I have missed something, but are you implying that you're planning ingame voicechat? (sorry if that was mentioned before and I just missed it, I didn't pay that much attention to warband til I got the invite and when I was too busy to catch up on reading :p).

    I've played the siege mode only a few times so far (actually, it was the first map I tried) and it's really fun imo. There was not much teamwork, but I suppose that'll get better once people get more experience on how the mode actually works. Good job so far with warband, I'm more than impressed :smile:

    Uhm... of course not, why would it be turned-based? By "board game", I rather meant the scale as of not playing an MMO, but with way fewer people.
