    Well, we can still make interiors separate scenes. No reason not to, really.  I think it's practically the only way to make the really big interiors big enough, honestly.  And if we have fights inside buildings (which we will)then we want to have it in a separate scene so that there are no wasted polygons.  Maybe you guys can make a few modular building pieces that can be stacked together like legos.  What I mean is a full building with roof and such, but only walls on two sides or one side or for end pieces walls on three sides.  Get what I am talking about?  Then even an artistic idiot like me can just stack them together and make huge interior scenes....

    As for the size I would think the town would be surrounded by lots of open space....

    yeah, it would be easier than piecing walls and roofs togheter. we will see.

    yeah, but not that much open space. that will cause lag. I know vanilla towns are tight on the terrain, but we should go for something only twice as big as vanilla town terrains...not 10 times bigger.

    yep, listen, just one thing, We will have to re-do the dirt scene, and this time make the scene terrain much smaller. terrain adds polygons too you know...it's too damm huge, specially for a town so small. anyway, this scenes we are making are specific to dirt, and one or two more houses, a town "sign" an we will be godd to finish it. we can add detail props later.

    This is supposed to be a minimod right? if not, I think it's the greatest load of work on any mod!

    Anyway, what's the concept here? what it will be? sandbox fighting, quests or what?

    Wait, do You want to mod? if so, you won't have to mess around with anything other than the python module system. Unless, off course, you get acess to the source code from armagan that is....

    I use Blender a lot myself, and I openly reccomend it more than wings3d. it's almost as simple to use and it has much more potential(animation support and many more tools).The problem is convincing people around here to drop wings, since they are so used to it  :razz:

    Allright, here's some buildings. The bottom ones are on me, two simple houses without interiors, just for scenario. The big shack is by GT, and it's supposed to be the bar at Dirt. I know it's doubled (it has both the interior and exterior into it) and notice the level of detail in the interior and exterior. It's much better than the scenes we've been making so far, and it has a much higher polycount too ( a little less than a thousand polygons, the collison mesh will be short of 200 tough). and it's huge, But I guess it's ok. 2000 tris is what a npc has anyway and plus dirt is a very small place. Give us the feedback please  :wink:

    Here's our first vehicle. I call it "The Pony" .

    It will remain the first vehicle for some time, since we have so much to focus on for now. it will be used for testing as soon as Thorgrim releases the new brfedit version. according to the great thorgrim, it will be possible to make the front fork steer, the wheels turn...it will look great if everything goes as expected. luckyly we could add some smoke particles out of the back escape tube, and some ligh from that lamp at night. the seat, the guidon, the wheels and evrything else is positioned right around the vanilla horse mesh, so the player will be at the very right position. we won't have to change the sit or anything.

    Here's the pony. a littles less than 700 tris. who wants a ride?

    that was a simple joke, I don't see what offense you saw in that...I think you are not only being paranoid but exagerated. I never attacked or dished anyone, what are you talking about? if I said something wrong and didn't noticed excuse me, english is not my native language and I just might end up saying something I don't mean.

    oh,and that thing I said about storymod(if that's what you are refering to), it was just a wrong choice of words, I didn't wanted to say that Winter was not creative, just that the mod had a setting to similar to the vanilla game... but I explained that to you after you called my atention to that post right?
