Are there some servers running with warband 0.613 yet? I don´t get any server displayed when I try to connect

I´ve installed warband today. Tried to play online but none servers were found. When there will be some server where could player play? Are the servers online 24 hours a day or only for a while?

my firewall is fine, no errors so far, just no servers are displayed.

well, i ve been playing for about 1000 days and weather has got crazy. In half of my battles its fog or rain, on norhtern veagir territories its for or snow or all together  . fortunately it´s not that bad now on day 1200+
So you will probably get more rain,snow and fog when you will play longer

Well, your computer is´nt one of the newest. In the 1.011 are lots of animation, sound and graphic improvements. If you´re getting low performance, try to  defragmenting HDD. RAM, cleaning of registry and also turn off all programs that you don´t realy need when you play MB. And if it still doesn´t gets better, tryy older versions 

It´s just a question of time, when will someon make a multiplayer mod for this game. And even if there will be no mod like that, a game similiar to mount and blade but online will surely come

You could always run it off whatever servers you can find until you get enough money to rent one, then if your game gets huge you can start up your own server farm.

I think that I can make server on one of my computers for a while so for now it´s alright. In summer we are planing 12h, 24h and 48h onnline testing rounds. Then we decide where will we have server .

I suggest you try and make your game as efficient as possible, because you can't just hope that computers will be good enough to make up for it - it's a bad mentality.

Well, I´l try to make my game efficient but now I´m sometimes facing the limitations of Windows and BGE (engine). I surely can reduce the resolution of textures and on some objects an amount of polygons so.I´l see how it will be running then .

EDIT: We´re now making a main menu for the game but I have to download some program that  can make a bmp fonts. I can´t download it now becouse my internet connection is nos stable enough. But I hope that my friend will help me with this today.

Yes, actually we have almost complete plan (80%) of game mechanics. Now we know exsactly WHAT to do but in some cases we aren´t sure HOW to do it. Recently we have a problem with inventory scripts but I´m sure that we can fix it in a short time.

EDIT: player could use normal chat with players who are closer than 10m to him, or a voicechat. There will be also possibility to send normal messages. And a possibility to fund a new villages by a player of course.
we are counting with this in time of 3-5 years:

- computers will become much stronger and quicker
- end of lags when playing on internet and much better connection speed
- Linux will be used by at least 15% of people. (game has better performance on linux)
- enough money for me to buy a new computer with 1TB HDD and Linux ubuntu server edition.

I know that game and I took a part of my inspiration from that. But similiarity with that game will be smaller and smaller. Now I have to make a models of a few buildings like tents, basic houses and some equipment.

Why to be sceptic about this? In blender you can make the BASICS of the gfame without programming (using logic brics) and then you can make the ADVANCED gameplay mechanisms by programing in python. There are many games made in Blender I know about and two of them are really good.("Yo frankie" game and "The power of will"). If Armagan would decided to begin with making of M&B today i think that he would get with blender much further than today.

So you say that first version of this game (prerelease of first version) was made on Blender Game engine? Wow thats fantastic.  But I undertand tjat he stopped in using of that engine becouse of low performance in that days. But novadays the blender game engine is much more powerful than before. I think that i will write about this on some blender forums.

P.S. I´m making my own game called "Vesmírni Hrdinovia" inn blender game engine. Current version is 0.005 and me and couple of guys are making  a basic game mechanisms. English version will be avaible somday in year 2009. (sorry for a bit of spam  )

I´m doing this mission too. When lord Surdun gave me this quest, the game has been suspended and the error window has popped up. It was something like
"Couldn´t find party unremarkable taveller" (or that unremarkable... i cant remember their name) " on coordinates (289.88. [and some other numbers] ). 

i´d wanted to take a sccreenshot but then my stupid, ugly and slow microsoft windows XP begun to give me a lot of (t)error messages so I couldn take that screenshot. I did a foto of thst error messages and I´l upload them in a minute.
