Region based on language and computer specs based on what they need for testing.
I understand that but your idea is still vague to me, i can can speak like 4 languages most of them are the most used in-game also i got medium computer specs, and what they need for testing will be a forever mystery...

    How are Beta Testers Chosen?

Based on region, computer specs, and luck.
What role does Region play in this? If its about ping then i got good ping for both NA and EU servers if there's something else then what could it be? Also my computer specs aren't the best but they can run M&B bannerlord and much bigger games by just configuring graphics settings.

Arabic Language? Accents in the game?

We don't know how many different voiced lines are in the game. If there are just a few, like you'd only get to hear 3-4 voiced lines from lords and maybe 1-2 for pedestrians, most likely merchants? Then I do think adding regional accents would be more flavorful. What those flavors are, well, some can be arbitrary but others might be too odd if it does not at least conform to mainstream expectations.

The problem in this set up would be with the lords. There will likely be around a hundred lords in SP and probably more. And with them dying there will be even more. Certainly they will have to share from a much smaller pool of voices, but I reckon there should still have to be 3-4 each accent for them to sound at least like different people.

But stop with the it's fantasy excuses -- a blind man can see how many of the in-game flavors are closely tied to real world. Know the term "a writer writes what he knows"? Ultimately, we all live in this world, none have constructed something out of thin air. If one is presented with an arabic warrior in middle-age attires speaking perfect Queen's English, while the stereotypical brit next to him speaks a French accent, it is weird. I'd rather have real-world flavor than whatever anyone else can come up with, because good odds those are real-world accents anyway.

Even if they choose one language each for the factions, it would be nonsense to make dialects. The world is fictional, nobody would know how dialects would sound.

And why the heck should it be dialects of English? What faction of Calradia speaks English as a native language? You would get the ridiculous nonsense of Total War games, where the Romans or Greeks speak "English" and the dumb other factions have English with dumb dialects.

Also, in history there were long periods when the leading elite of all mayor nations spoke a common lingua franka, and it was not necessarily the language of one of the nations. It would be despicable to show the nobles of some factions as not capable to learn the common language correctly. And I doubt the common people would know the foreign languages at all.

Let all the people speak English or what language ever it will be translated to in a normal way.

Creating Accents is easy and i don't want anyone to say it is not. A Professional voice actor can do every accent of every country when they speak english.
    Arabic/English accent
    Mongol/English accent
    Frank/English accent
German/English accent and more accents as i don't know what are all the factions in the game. The games has been in development for years and the results wich we got are a bit not what we expected for a game that was announced to be in Dev in 2012 or so. So adding these little touches will show that the company actually cares about the players and not about the sales only.

The problem is not about creating the accents. They just don't make sense because you lack a language on which to base the accents.

This aside, I don't want to have "our world accents" in a fantasy game.

There are a few 100's of voices already, some with slight accents. Give me some time and i will try to mount them and upload to youtube. Some may be placeholders or could be removed, remember this is a beta build

    EDIT:

Yeah in the vid you can only hear different english accents not mongolian accent or an arabic accent. Even if its a fantasy game that's not an excuse to make when 80% of the game is taken from world history from armor/names/weapons...etc the only things that are not real are the faction's names/lords/..etc

I would presume that there is some form of lingua franka resultant from the Empire, and I feel the need adding voiced acted lines in other languages is not as simple a process as you may think. I personally wouldn't mind the addition of accents in the form of diacritics (æ, ï, ñ, ç, etc.) and eye dialect (been/bin, you/yer, them/'em) to distinguish differences in their speech, as for the addition of extra languages, especially voiced lines, I'm less interested. While I do think it would be a nice addition, I can also see how it could be disliked by some and could be a detriment to gameplay.

If they add accents they should probably create fictionalised ones, taking influence from the real-life factions they are based on. Contrary to what SwadianBorn has posted I do believe you can create a mixture of accents as from my own personal experiences accents aren't rigid and are constantly changing and intermixing with those around them creating mixtures.

I agree with you, and yeah we will only have a couple of speaking NPC's and another thing are chants & war cries those would be cool if they had an accent or just in a made up language for factions. Also we can't say "oh it'll take time or not simple to make" we're not the company we're just players & testers we just give feedback & help them add more stuff to the game.

A native speaker of English can't passably imitate the accents of most other English speakers, let alone nail a foreign accent that doesn't obviously stick out to people from that foreign country. There are dozens of English accents in England alone, not including Ireland, Scotland, or Wales, and then there are Americans, Australians, Canadians, etc. A Dubliner probably couldn't nail a Cockney's accent, and I bet neither of them could pass as Bostonian despite it being one of the most similar among American accents.
Why are you only talking about English Speaker accents im talking about different country's accents not 1 country's dialects/accents. 1 Accent par faction is enough; Why'd you include every English Speaking country, And all arabs have 1 accents when speaking english.

I know he is Indian, but they should make them all talk like Apu from the Simpsons.

Keep it familiar for the mainstream.

Apu does not have an arabic accent or even speaks arabic.

Exactly. People don't seem to understand arabic has different kinds of dialects and accents. In morocco some cities that are pretty much next to eachother are in constant war about how the one speaks and its funny to see.

In the west they should speak Moroccan, near the river they should speak Egyptian, in the south east saudi, and in the north east levantine. Simple  :shifty:

A lot of work that seems useless

If you played you'd see that even after the game was announced in development in 2012 i think now its 2019 and some stuff in it is still missing and no its not lots of work cause its just audio files added to a script or something this depends if bannerlord even has audio speech from NPCs

Arabic Language? Accents in the game?

I didn't say they were arabic but the faction the names the units are arabic, i know its a game not supposed to be real or historically accurate. And about Arabic language thing i meant if the game can be translated to arabic using the languages panel and i can make that myself anyways... But all factions are inspired from reality if you use your mind & think about it. The only part involving voices is accents, i don't know if in the game NPCs speak or war cries are in the faction's language or if the characters have accents. All these things can easily be made if they're not inserted in the game.
