If your talking about the spear bracing kit for 1.011 or warband then yes I'm fairly certain it is possible.

More emphasis on the difference between good and evil, I want the people to react if I'm known for pillaging villages and treating people unfairly, being praised for saving villages and being an overall good samaritan would be very welcome as well.

I don't know about the rest of the people, but I always thought companions were bland, they don't really have a sense of personality in my eyes, more player-companion interaction would be lovely.
