I think you might misinterpret some answers.
From the modder point of view I might be able to help you.
The most frightening part is the troop AI that will not be moddable.
No magic, no dragons, no Star Wars mod, no combat enhancement and no exceptional behavior in general. We will just be able to make a troop say "AGROUHOU" instead of "GRRRRR" by changing aggressiveness. Very suspicious.
In the actual warband game, it is the same, you cant change the AI with the modulesystem, but you have a few operations to change parts of there behaviour, giving them a target, sending them from point A to B. setting their aggro level and stuff like that.
And those were enough to mod a NW server, where we have a complete different AI.
AI working on fields, populating the streets, interacting with objects like benches (sitting down for a while), patroling and guarding areas, protecting objects and other AIs. Warning and later killing you, if you enter an area you are not allowed to, or break some "laws".
That is just an example. So you will definetly have magic, dragons and Star Wars. The same you had in Warband.
As you can see, multiple mods are supported. What the heck?
That means, that you can install several mods, and running them at the same time.
That is a good thing, as now with Warband, most mods exclude each other.
If you have concerns, that is fine, just wait for the real game, and do not buy the Early Access. I might do the same until moddingtools will be published.
