1. When I rebel How do I regain the fiefs around my towns back? Is it possible? Or do I have to let them take the town. Then retake it?
2. If the latter it almost seems better to just be released from my oath and start fresh?
3. If it is possible how do I get ravenstern king to not give me a town so I can rebel. He likes me a lot so he gives me anything I ask for.
4. I've seen lots of threads on making CKO so I can look that up. Any tips appreciated.
5. Like I've said I usually use pendor for base troops. I like Calvary so I would go knights of griffon, with clarion call and silvermist rangers. How is Sarleon overall? I think they've got good balance between cav/archery. Ultimate goal is to let CKO units be my army with the sergeants being range capable.
Thanks for any help and sorry if some grammar is off. Typing on the ipad in a hurry haha
1. When you rebell you keep all your towns, castle and their villages. Villages are linked to their respective town/castle, whoever controlls them also has control over them.
2. It's always easier to just rebell. The only penalty you get is the relations hit, which shouldn't be a problem by then, and the insta war. You still need to go to war with them to reclamin your lands if you are released from your oath, so you might as well save yourself the time and just fill the garrisons and then rebell. That way you'll have a lot more reinforcements than if you were release from your oath and left all your towns with 1 troop garrisoned.
3. Just keep asking for more and more land. Eventually he will refuse. It's much easier to start a kingdom with a lot of land that with only a single town or castle. The AI takes its sweet time to gather an army and siege a town. If you have a lot of towns they can buy yourself enough time to build your army and recruit lords/turn companions into vassals while they are busy sieging all your towns.
4. Look at the sticky. It has all the info you need. However, to make good use of them you need enough time to train them and equip them, so plan ahead. We are talking about 150+ days to make them decent.
5. The only downside of Sarleon is their somewhat lackluster archers. Their cavalry is top tier, and their infantry while not the best is sure decent enough to hold their ground. They are no Blademasters or Huscarls, but they are stupidly easy to train all the way to Man-at-arms, and those morningstars sure help them. Their halberdiers are good enough with proper shield support.
Their archers are just average. Not as good as ravenster rangers or empire armored xbowmans, but not as bad as d'shar dervishes or fierdsvain archers. If you really want powerful archers who decimate armies from a distance you should get them from other kingdoms or train your CKO to fill that spot. Otherwise just use a less archers heavy strat and focus on the strenght of your cavalry and infantry.
