We have never yet feared anything in the realm of men.
But the divine, Fortuna herself, we always hold dread of her as faithless and inconstant; and, for the very reason that in war she has been as a favourable gale in all our affairs to this point, and we still expect some change and reflux.
We never act without first taking the auspices, in public and private matters, and with crimsoned hands and smoke from the altars in our eyes we give the utmost importance to the omens our augurs take from them, just as Romulus himself did, on the first day of our city’s existence.
Our ways have changed though. But we still remain to the core Romans and it is to the city and to the empire that we serve and continue to serve.
About Us
The Roman Empire is a growing and active clan on Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, formed by the leadership of successful Persistent World and Persistent Kingdoms clans such as House Stark, the North Sea Empire and the Byzantine Empire. When Bannerlord is first released, we will operate like a Native clan, once a week gathering as many people online as possible to join servers as well as participating in events and creating our own alongside playing Bannerlord multiplayer whenever we desire to.
Once a mod similar to Persistent World is released for Bannerlord, the clan will then transition into a full-time Bannerlord PW clan and that will be our main focus though it will still be our intention to participate in events as well.
The Roman Empire is also a friendly and active gaming community and frequently hosts and plays other games such as Imperator: Rome, Stellaris, ARMA III and Hearts of Iron IV as part of our Varangian Gaming Community.
