What kind of new faction(s) would you like to see added to the game in the future?

Of course, before even talking about new factions, the game needs many changes, fixes and tweaks to its late game grind and diplomacy. But setting aside what needs changing, which factions would you like seeing added to the game?

The game already has 3 extra cultures listed in the encyclopedia called Darshi, Nord and Vakken that are (from what I understand) based on (indo- ?) Iranians, Scandinavians and Finns+Sámi (I'm not fully sure about this one though) respectively. And out of these three, I would like to see the Darshi added to the game most (especially if they have war elephant troops).

Of the known cultures, the Darshi would probably be the most interesting since a Persian-style culture east of the Khuzaits could transform the strategic picture of the region and add a culture I'm not terribly familiar with its IRL counterpart.

Otherwise, I most want to see a culture inspired by the Chinese with all the advancements they had by 11th century standards; this'd include an early form of firearm, repeating crossbows, Chinese glaives, halberds, and lots fo cool costumes and armors. City walls a hundred feet thick and grid-like urban arrangements and probably new trade goods as well. The only issue is not making them OP since they'd likely overpower most of the Calradian factions if not seriously handicapped, like having terrible to no cavalry and horrid defense to compensate for strong offensive potential and a likely far-eastern setting that's highly defensible. They could be split into several kingdoms like the Empire to have both local competition and delay snowballing.

Then there's the common favorite of a not-Japan civilization, which, at this time, would still be carrying shields as well as wearing shields on their shoulders and their curved swords would be rare in comparison to naginatas and other polearms. If a not-China's addded, a not-Japan would likely be beside it. If it were an island country, some kind of naval mechanic would be ideal and that'd likely change the strategic and economic face of Calradia as a whole...

A whole new continent east of Calradia's Duzeg Steppe could be added to fit these Asian-themed cultures, and the visible but unreachable corners northeast of Sturgia and southeast of the Khuzaits could be where cultures in-lore would be added into, like the Nords and Darshi.

i want another 5 imperial factions that all use the exact same armour and have no distinguishable difference except some dog**** colour tone

Factions already in game need to be appreciably different aside from troops and items before even considering new ones. As they are the governments function same, make war the same way, etc. Example: Northern Empire is supposed to be senate ruled but is ruled by one person like everyone else. Whatever. Just do Poland.

None. I want them to improve the current factions so everytime I play a new one I actually feel like something changed instead of just the colors.

Mods can do factions.

Playing a different culture, what one needs most, is the ability to have CUSTOM TROOP TREE and editing their armors and weapons. Like the "Custom Troop" mod does. That's the most important thing to get into the game, in my opinion. The mod is good, but everyone doesn't use mods, and who knows some day it doesn't work any more (or isn't avalable).

I'm TRYING to play an ancient Egyptian style faction, but I'm missing all the gear that looks ancient Egyptian. I do try to have some such appearance with the mod mentioned above and dismis troops of other factions (by exchanging them to my custom troops).

First choice, Nords/Jumne. Scandinavian "Vikings" (yes I know it's a verb) had a lot of influence over Europe in the early middle ages - being the progenitors of the Normans, trading with the Arabs, intermingling with the Celts and Slavs, working as mercenaries for the Byzantines - so they are a good fit. And people love Vikings.
Of course this would have to come with sailing DLC not that DLC is a good idea until the game is actually functional, and make Nords' culture bonuses sailing-related.

Second choice, Darshi. Aka Persia/the Sassanians. Who doesn't like even more heavily armoured cataphracts, archers, dudes with comically large wicker shields in pajamas, and war elephants? And TW already has the elephant model ready to go!

Third choice, Balion. Only gets one brief mention in Warband but it would be nice to have a British Isles equivalent, sort of a mix of Germanic and Celtic cultures with a touch of Late WRE, as if the Anglo-Saxons were halfway through their (conquest of/peaceful intermingling with?) the Britons. Then again, maybe continental Europeans are relieved to have a setting where England doesn't stick its nose into everything.

Chinese infantry army
Babylonian
African
Aztec
Thai/South East Asia

Technologically inferior factions could be balanced with larger numbers.

the nords and their land/continent/kingdom, whatever with boats and ships (also as merchants)
Agree, I want naval combat and travel more than anything. Being able to buy ships from everything from small merchant ships to large war ships. Maybe some new towns can be added to the islands between the Empire and Aserai lands. Trade fleets with new trade options, basically these could be oversized floating caravans that moves lots of goods from port to port. They would be expensive to get going, but very lucrative in the long run as long as they don't get attacked by pirates like roaming Nord raiding fleets or some type of Cilician pirates rebel faction that roam the Southern Seas.

The game needs new content for sure.

The most obvious path towards expanding the game in terms of DLC would be sea related, since Sturgia and Aserai both have large inland seas separating them from the mainland and artificial rock bridges substituting sea lanes. I vaguely know one of the previous M&B games (Viking Conquest?) had this so I'd guess they borrow from that, but I could imagine it working with predefined sea lanes connecting the ports currently visible but inaccessible/decorative on the map. Trade ships acting like the nautical equivalent to caravans could work, but I'd be considered for the economy since they might inundate their local lanes with too much goods and thus make returns far too small. The economy would likely need to be revised for such a DLC.

Fighting at sea could also be very interesting, provided it's not just a ship-to-ship scrum with basically one battle scene for every boat battle. It'd be interesting to sea how weapons at sea could be used for ship to ship engagements. Swimming may need to become a proper thing for that inevitability (otherwise we just drown, I guess, lol) and to permit aggressive boarding via rowboats. The islands west off of Calradia and in the Jade Sea could become home to new civilizations as well, be they minor city-states, a brand new faction or two, or even "pirate havens" that have to be regularly purged to keep sea lanes safe.

They'll need to figure out how to make sea trade profitable compared to going overland, however, since I fear going from Senala to Zeonica might be cheaper and more profitable over land than sea since it'd have far less overhead going on and less risk if this isn't balanced for it, or alternatively might flood the markets and make nautical trade a waste of resources to invest in. Lots of ways to go wrong, so it'd really need to be a full-on expansion to the game rather than treated as a small content update. I'd pay $20-40 if it's done well enough and ultimately comes as part of a very substantial expansion pack though.

The fighting at sea would be made by siege weapons and boarding and ramming, like the way it used to be before the development of cannons and gunpowders.
It was usually scorpions, small catapults on the tower of the ship and the ship "beaks" were used for ramming and destroy the hull and sinking the enemy ship... Of course, death and defeat at the sea would be instant death, since fighting with armor could be very fatal and would drag the person to the botton of the ocean.
I agree with the trade perharps the merchant specialist @Flesson19 , have some ideas

I think when it comes to port to port trading you will be moving far more quantity then via land trade. Also lets not forget thing like fire pots and Greek fire.
