Not that different from parochial Americans who believe the world looks like their patriotic war/terror movies.
What's interesting is that even liberal educated people are not immune and would rather believe a nice lie than face unpleasant facts about their country's failed or immoral actions. National identity is a powerful psychological force that may make war criminals out of ordinary people.

Maybe. John Wayne's 1968 pro-Vietnam film The Green Berets wasn't swallowed whole, but gained traction.
"The critics overkilled me, the picture and the war", said Wayne. "As a result, so many people went to see it that I had a cheque from the distributors for $8 million within three months. That's the cost of the picture, so we moved into profit the next day."
At least dissenting voices weren't suppressed.

What makes people so gullible?

It's not about gullibility. People just believe whatever they want to believe. The average russian boomers' beliefs come from his social background and current economic situation, not propaganda movies.

For example Americans have been bombarded with anti-nazi and anti-communist propaganda for almost a century, but there are still plenty of self-proclaimed nazis and communists in the US.

Every society will have a normal distribution of differing beliefs. However, those bell curves are differently centred in different countries by, as you say, social background and economic circumstances. That social background includes controlled media and propaganda movies. One can only hope that greater IT access to information and alternative perspectives will help, but a lot of the ignorant opinion ghettos on social media contradict that aspiration.

Nazis, yes. Communists, not really or at least I don't know of any.

In the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve were immortal. Does that not mean they were Gods?
Are you having atheist vs. theist battles somewhere or did you simply watch porn with garden scenes?
Edit: in the monotheist universe, you can be given supernatural powers, but they can be taken from you too, and only the real god can do this. You should ask instead if Satan is a god as well, that's the tricky question.

I was slightly inebriated when I wrote that last night.
But fun to think if there was a sort of pre-judaic story about 'the one god' battling other gods for supremacy. All gods were human once (at least in Freudian anthropology). How else do you get monotheism?

Bacteria live on/in our body like animals on Earth. If you kill all the birds in China insects will soon swarm the place.
If you introduce rats to New Zealand all the birds start dying out. There's a fine balance.
