Was thinking about what this game was missing and thought to put some words to paper- feel free to add- yes, some of these ideas may not be possible within the current dev progression but the dynastic and living/ruling as a lord element just seems abundant and quite shallow in its current state.
1. Council
Ability to form a council from advisors (in your party and to hire) once you create kingdom and capital. May include:
A treasurer- responsible for tax collection - better skill= more efficient tax collection, cheaper construction etc
A spymaster- May reveal locations of high priority lords or kings held captive, better detection of bandits, detection of rebel or coup attempts from other lords
A Commander- Higher skill= better trained and equipped garrisons and units, better loyalty
The council could be called upon and you may enter this (a war room within the capital) to enact decisions (declare war, hire mercs, arrange feasts or weddings, attempt an assassination of another lord) or may be interacted more easily through diplomacy menu function- could even be evolved with laws- such as council right to veto decisions like war or tax, as well as things like guaranteed council rights for certain powerful lords or allies.
2. Prisoner transportation
Larger cities should hold less escape chance than castles- option to have lords transported via a caravan of guards- can be used when bountying - you may be able to raid these caravans to capture high value lords and they also may be attacked by bandits etc- better quality guards mean less chance of problems but think this could add some cool features to the current click and sell set up.
3. Palace/Court
This may be a little more far fetched but being able to hold court with grieved lords, villagers and diplomats from other kingdoms may add some additional add on features that would add further depth- this could be in addition to holding tournaments (different types- slave tournaments, animals, joust, varying in cost) and feasts where you can entertain lords, families and allies.
Do others agree that there need to be more elements to the life side of things rather than just hire armies and fight/defend- There is so much scope for better emersion within the bannerlord, but perhaps this is for the modding community over the game devs? Add ideas below if you have any!
