I think No Man's Sky proved trying after failure can be beneficial and successful.
NMS was just released too early and rode a ridiculous wave of hype all the way to a catastrophic release. I think currently the game is how sean murray intended initially. It's still sucky and boring, but more of a real game.
It wasn't as bad, but I mostly just meant the turn around for NMS should be a beacon of hope for just about any game. And so if NMS, from its horrible launch and state of game, could achieve what it did, there's really no reason why Taleworlds couldn't do something similar.Bannerlord's release wasnt anywhere near as catastrophic as NMS. The crest of the hype wave wasn't nearly as high, the press attention wasn't as focussed, and as a result there is no strong impetus to do anything. There is no wave of hysteria like buyers threatening to sue the developers or whatever. Armagan is just too chilled out. And to be fair he's been working on these stupid ass games for 20 odd years. I'd stop caring too at that point.
Comedy gold! (With the added bonus of mocking the hurtbox autism dude.)
I hear that since Alpha. People proclaim the multiplayer dead on a regular basis and yet, it's still far from dead. But at some point.. Less players will come back..
When people say dead they don't mean 0 people. Something can be considered dead when barely anyone plays it anymore. And this is the case for bannerlord multiplayer.I hear that since Alpha. People proclaim the multiplayer dead on a regular basis and yet, it's still far from dead.
How is this barely anyone? When people say dead they don't mean 0 people. Something can be considered dead when barely anyone plays it anymore. And this is the case for bannerlord multiplayer.
This is dead.
You can't even fill up a warband server with those numbers combined. How is this barely anyone?
I'm sure there are thousands of players in skirmish and captain mode at any point in time! You can't even fill up a warband server with those numbers combined.

I mean it's not really a "dozen or so" either, not as big as it should be but it's defiantly people overly proclaiming "dead game lul"There's less than 200 people playing Bannerlord online on a good day, how is that "far from dead"? You do know that a video game can still be considered dead even if the people playing it number only in a dozen or so, right? It doesn't have to be 0.

End of my day I can log on and play with an almost full server in tdm, captain mode or siege every night and that's with siege constantly crashing, i'm not trying to convince you it's popular because it's really not, but it's certainly not dead either
A game released in 2020 with less then 200 players at any given time is dead to me.I mean it's not really a "dozen or so" either, not as big as it should be but it's defiantly people overly proclaiming "dead game lul"

Well like I said I'm not trying to convince you but I guess I'll be playing a "dead game" and it's game modes with almost full servers tonight and the foreseeable future ?I never said it was a dozen or so, I was giving an example to explain that it doesn't have to be 0 to be considered dead. I said there was less than 200 hundred people playing it, which is by no means a large number. There are nearly 20k people playing SP and only 150 daily playing MP. That's dead.

The community that plays itSo who sets the rules when a game can be considered dead? I think that as long as I can find a match in an evening to play, the game's still alive. I WISH that I could do that with every multiplayer game I like.
