No, actual patch, to fix things. FPS stuttering is so bad. Servers crashing since over a year ago.The last patch came out like three weeks ago.
Kind of moving the goalposts, but 1.6 improved performance significantly for a lot of people. No, actual patch, to fix things. FPS stuttering is so bad.
Haven't played in 11 months personally. I saw e1.6.0. I actually liked some of those features for once, and the modding stuff was looking pretty okay. So I want to play, but it's just I don't like playing without mods - easy to guess why. Not a big deal, I got a modpack of 50 mods that work well together for 1.5.9 and I'm going to add more.
All good? Edit: Yes.
Nobody cares but in response to my message earlier, I have decided that although e.1.6.0 is a solid patch with some cool features and does well for modding, it is a beta patch which means less mods will be updated to work with it. Less mods means less fun. It's not going to be worth sacrificing mod support for with what little 1.6.0 adds. I'm going to stick with 1.5.9 with a modpack until 1.6.0 goes stable then I'll take a peak at it.
Overall unhappy with the progress. All the topics within the last months or two have been.. unpleasant. DLC and a console release, how they handled internal modifiers, how long it's taking to fix siege AI and formations and all that, it's both painful and insulting. The updates themselves feel like Cyberpunk updates; a ton of bugfixes and little content.Hi Maelstrom, what did you think of the progress made in your 11 month sabatical?
I agree with you, the last three versions was so bad that I have to roll back to 1.5.8, the les lagy one for me.No, actual patch, to fix things. FPS stuttering is so bad. Servers crashing since over a year ago.
I just wanted to thank you for sharing your thoughts on the latest beta version of the game. We really appreciate posts like this that recognise the work we have put in over the past year of early access, but that's not to say that we will rest on our laurels! We will continue to keep our heads down and work on the game well into the future as we iron out the remaining problems and introduce new content.*snip*
Every patch since 1.58 has been terrible for me. Performance has gotten significantly worse every single god damned time. First it was the inventory lag. Then there was map lag. Then there was lag during battles. Complete garbage. I used to get good performance on medium settings. Now I get ****ty performance on low.Kind of moving the goalposts, but 1.6 improved performance significantly for a lot of people.
I think that might be a you problem and you may want to make a bug report or something akin to that.Every patch since 1.58 has been terrible for me. The game sometimes reverts your settings to use the integrated graphics instead of your 3d card. That has been a recurring issue for me.Then there was lag during battles. Complete garbage. I used to get good performance on medium settings. Now I get ****ty performance on low.
Absolutelly agreed, every patch where was said something about optimisation was killing game. Now the game is not playable at all, total bullsh*t!Every patch since 1.58 has been terrible for me. I've only played about 3 minutes on the current patch, but it was enough. I started in sand box mode and had my character ride to a nearby town. Immediate map lag. I got to the town and opened the recruitment screen. More lag. There was nobody to recruit so I exited and opened the trade screen to get some food. Lag closing recruitment, more lag opening trade, and still more lag pulling up inventory. That's how it is with a party of one and an empty inventory, so it's only going to get worse. I guess it's time to revert back to 1.58 again. Pity I won't get all the bug fixes and new features, but at least what I have will work.
Seriously, guys, what the ****?
It does that to mine as well, but now I look for it and change it back. Still doesn't help. The game sometimes reverts your settings to use the integrated graphics instead of your 3d card. That has been a recurring issue for me.
I found 1.6.0 to be stable and performed really well. I've moved onto 1.6.1 now, performance seems to have dropped off a touch, and reintroduced some visual glitches... but I haven't gone through the verification/shader delete process yet, and it's the beta version, so I'm going to assume it will improve again over time.
Some of the QOL improvements with 1.6.1 have been amazing. Simple UI/UX fixes go a looong way and have really improved the way you interact with things like the encyclopaedia.
Not sure how I'm going to manage it... but I have to go into combat at some point wearing a leather apron. If only I could wield a filter coffee jug full of cheap steaming hot coffee. Penton wouldn't stand a chance.
