Hotfix 18/02/21

  • Fixed an issue that caused DLSS results to look slightly blurry.

Multiplayer

Fixes
  • Fixed a few sound issues which may relate to "sound of doom" in MP matches.

Why is it a 1.7 GB update? That seems awfully big for what appears to be nothing added.

If you are experiencing this issue while playing the game through Steam, please try deleting all files in the "SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Sounds" folder and then validate your game files by right-clicking the game in your Steam Library and selecting "Properties... > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files..." If the issue persists after this it would help us greatly if you could reach out to us here and let us know.

The throwing spear damage should still work fine. Still enough to one-shot a frontal charge by cav, while making 1hits from inf to inf less common (headshots I presume should still do plenty enough damage).
The difference in weapon damage is bugging me a little though, it's a stealthy buff for Khuzait Inf who are atm plenty powerful with their 70dmg mace and consequent ability to two hit pretty much every opponent.
The Ash Throwing Spear probably does less damage, because it's 30 longer than either of the others, which makes it more viable as a tool to rear cavalry. But still, weird that Pilum and Khuzait spear are separate, just 4 points of course, but in that territory it does make a difference in frequency of one-shots.

Good analysis.

Is this fix listed in the 1.5.8 beta hotfix really not hotfixed into 1.5.7 too?
Fixed an issue with AI archers failing to fire at mounted enemies until they were too close. Now they will start shooting sooner.
This problem has been reported since 1.5.6 beta and is not exclusive to 1.5.8, please put this fix into the stable version too. We still can't play 1.5.8 because they didn't fix disappearing wanderers yet.
