Beta Patch Notes e1.5.6

Users who are viewing this thread

I notice there's a button to give back a fief when you're a vassal and I can't remember if that was there before? Is there a button to give back a fief when you're a ruler too, as in to put it up for election to vassals?

It is new in 1.5.6, when you are ruler, you give a fief to a selected clan and get relationship bost. If you are a vassal, you can give away a fief and a new election is started.

Somehow, my installation was no longer recognized by Steam so I installed it and Steam recognized that it was there and just downloaded a few files. After I launch, it runs briefly and then crashes. I've tried removing all mods, reinstalling, verifying files. Still can't launch.

EDIT: Also tried deleting the Documents/ folder.
I would suggest a Clean Install to make sure the new installation is free old data.

When a town rebels is there anyway to get them to join you besides attacking them and taking the town over? It gives me a lot of relation points with the rebels but i don't see where I can barter anything with them.

Also, i married my brother to Monchungs daughter to create an alliance, what does that mean? If I go to war they will go with me? If they go to war do I have to join? or does this mean nothing?

I wish everyone a good start to the new year.

For TW, this Patch was the biggest improvement since months. Thanks for that. I were really enjoying the game the last days. Im totally aware that so many new stuff to play with, will create some chaos on the campaign map. I'm fine with that because it is relating than to bugfixing and not to create something new. Good work so far?

Don't do the quests. Horribly broken and very minor improvements since launch. They are trying to design quests in an emergent world and its very hard to do properly so you get things like this.

If your quest doesn't crash something unexpected happens. One time I had an escort quest and the caravan IMMEDIATELY turned back into town since it had so few men and just sat there forever.

TW should just remove all these quests and stop trying to do them. You've had almost a year and still horribly broken. Just take them out.
I did and i won... (quest caravans) with an army sometimes (new strongers troops conspiracy, difficult, but very good) !!!

But if they are too far away, I don't. These quests are done, I think, when they are adjusted, made to aid players in their progress and also to introduce "bosses" into the game to kill. And probably also to deepen the Role Play. I do them, sometimes I lose, but it doesn't matter. I did a lot, there were any big crashes, not many, and I know it's a work in progress.

TW has progressed a lot, the rhythm of the quests is more "regular" and often occurs during periods of peace ((sometimes during a war, but my husband and my sister-in-law go to war for me). So, I continue to play these "conspiracy quests", my goal is to discover all the facets of the game, and as long as participating in an EA, I might as well play the game ...

Agree with this. The game feels much better in 1.5.6.

I'm not sure if some features in these videos will come with e1.5.7 or not.. But 'm waiting.

Viking conquest is an older game from TaleWorld (an "expansion" for Warband, the first in the Mount and Blade series), so no, this isn't a sequel announcement.. But I wouldn't be surprised to see a new, very hostile faction arrive from the islands.

Anyone here heard anything about Taleworld adjusting the formula so that items pricier than about 50-60k denars actually show up in shops? I mean tying equipment quality to town prosperity makes sense but towns should then at the very least be capable of hitting said prosperity requirement for all items to eventually show up. Priciest piece of armor I've seen so far in the game was Kilt over Plated Leather about 1500 days into campaign.

At the very least we should have the option to order a piece of armor at the smith like in With Fire and Sword. Tired of either running around in basic mail or doing "cheatmode 1" to "immersively" add myself high end armor.

Been working on it for months, I hate to say it but Soon

I don't remember this happening in 1.5.5. Something's definitely broken here.
Damn looters and their 150 skillpoints in leadership, I guess?

A lot of bugs in 1.5.6, I like 1.5.5 better. This game is foundering, it takes weeks for these devs to even realize anything is broken, the teams do not communicate well at TW or test some of their subpar updates. They just found out in the "tech" forum that companion traits were broken after 4 months? Roguery does not work 1.5.6? Half of their bug fixes are not even implemented, I am tired of this EA. Oh well, back to your regularly scheduled program.

This -x experienced units bug happens very rarely since EA start. I looked its reason long time ago and could not find. About battle result it seems 28 looter killed your 24 mixed tier men. It can happen 1% (i guess) in simulations 0% in mission.

just got thinking now, when a rebellion occurs what happens to all armyless lords and ladies stationed in the fief? do they just escape or are captured? would be a good source to get some initial cash for the rebelious faction it they captured those lords and sold them back to their faction or used to bargain something.
