SP - General Locked Weapons Not on Smelt List

is there a way to ebsure that weapons I have locked in ny inventory do bot show up on the smelting list?

Its annoying when you are smelting 50 weapons to have to watch for the 1 you dont want to smelt.

I only play native and there is no reason it shouldn't be in native

I had crafted a two-handed sword worth about 95000 gold that I was saving for trading. I went back to the smithy to do some more work, and then I went to another town to sell that sword. When I got there to trade, that sword was missing. Either one of my companions stole it, or some idiot smelted it in the smithy.
