Patch Notes e1.2.0 & Beta e1.3.0

Seems that hotfix for 1.3.0 is coming. I hope it will fix fleeing stuttering issue :smile:
 
I decided to test sending multiple caravans from a town after reading https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/beta-1-3-0-caravan-stuck-in-town.419296/ and had the same bug, two of my caravans had "unknown behaviour" and were just trapped in limbo forever.

The one with more elite troops which did work was attacked and destroyed by an enemy faction lord almost instantly haha, money well spent.

I totally get nerfing caravans if they're an early and easy source of denars but presently the needle is wayyyyy in the other direction. Last beta they were a 100% guaranteed denar trap and this beta they're still a denar trap (assuming they work, that is).
 
Beta e1.3.0:
1. cannot incorporate the prisoners of a defeated lord into my party. they simply arent there. still take his wounded soldiers as prisoners but dont receive any of the troop from his prison train.
Can confirm.
This also happen when you liberate prisoners form bandits. They disappear.
 
All I can say is that I started a fresh one and had no stutters. Kinda with I didn't delete my old saves before testing it.
How big you battles was in new start? Against lords? Against garrison with 1000 ppl it is okay, but against any lord it becomes a slideshow just in time they are starting to flee

Probably not big enough to start the stuttering. I've actually noticed an increase in performance, so maybe it doesn't affect everyone like that?
 
I´m experiencing a similar bug where I took the "Escort Caravan" quest. The caravan won´t leave the town. It´s been 103 in-game days. The guy that hired me is still telling me he feels safe knowing I´m guarding his caravan.
Seems like this is more common for people then. I'm experiencing almost 50% of all caravans in the world being stuck in their towns.

Can confirm this bug is also affecting my save.
Thanks, good to know. Now I know that it's not just me and I shouldn't waste time restarting my campaign.
 
3-(important) Spears and pikes damage should be buffed, it is good when kinetics helps, but they re almost useless on foot for example, and in real-world, they were a very important weapon on Infantry fights.


spears and pikes are fine, I never have issue with them. You need to move forward into the attack to penetrate, and aim accurately. TW needs to explain speed adding to damage in the tutorials, and do a spear tutorial. So many people don't understand how to use it
 
Both new and old save. Granted I am playing purely vanilla which I believe makes a difference. I see some people have 50+ mods installed in a beta game and wonder why its not stable.
If you are running mods in the Beta, stop posting anything. I don’t care how much you claim the codes can’t be influencing each other

Yep, kind of hard to get a good strike when back peddling. And that’s fairly legit design on that
 
the problem with spears isn't the player using them, it's the fact that the AI spearmen cant hit a horse charging in their face 90% of the time.
 
Actually they can but only the first rider approaching (literally all of them are targeting the first rider xD)
That's a good point, I haven't done any in-depth testing it's just something I notice when I have a thicc line of spear-equipped infantry. They let most of the cav go right through without hitting them. Now that you mention it, they do stop the first horse most of the time.

Escort caravan quest stuck
I try to talk to follower in tavern to recruit him, but he acts like an npc, and when I try to open his/her informations it shows me a noble
I had a follower with none of his focus powers and lvl powers spent
and old snowball behavior came back? on my map western empire got destroyed and khuzaits tearing apart empire

Unfortunately this is how it works. Same applies for ranged units and all other. This causes blob on the battlefield. I think there should be some cap on how many units can target single one if there's another without any targetting it.
