In Progress Game wont start

Are your drivers up to date? I had this same problem - tried every fix I could find multiple times, reinstalled the game at least eight times, and reinstalled steam twice, and nothing worked.. Then I updated my Graphics Card driver, and it works fine.
 
Summary: Game crashes upon second loading screen
The game will launch and will continue loading up until after the Taleworlds logo. The error message then pops up that says "The application faced a problem." This problem has been persisting since Tuesday, May 31, 2020. Originally, the game wasn't able to launch at all, however the updates enabled the game to finally launch. However, I still cannot load into the game. It constantly encounters a problem on the second loading screen after the Taleworlds logo scene.
How to Reproduce: Start bannerlord from steam. Cause is unknown.

Security Software:
Disabled windows security and allowed administrative permission for the launcher. Bannerlord still encounters a problem.
Deleting CN Folder:
Have tried deleting that, however Bannerlord has not launched. In addition, my CN folder is labeled CNs folder instead.

But it didn't help either.

I haven't been able to run the game or launcher at all. I get an immediate crash with no error, unless I launch from Bannerlord.Native.exe, in which case I get a few seconds of loading screen, then the same ctd with no error.
 
Problem: after ~5s after launching game stop working.

Have tried verifying the integrity of the files
have tried restarting my computer
Have tried starting the game windowed.
Have tried launching from the bannerlord folder .exe

I had the problem on Windows 7 with Could not load file or assembly 'TaleWorlds.MountAndBlade.ViewModelCollection, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. error in logs. Bannerlord.exe would do nothing, Bannerlord.native.exe would show cursor and a screen for a few seconds then crash with no error presented.

Solution that worked for me: From the main bannerlord directory, zip the bin directory, right click the zip, properties, and choose 'unblock' if it's present (if its not there just proceed), then extract the zip in place and overwrite the files (i used winrar for this). then do the same for

These assemblies need to be unblocked before they will be loaded, you can right click an individual dll and choose unblock. Zipping and unzipping, as described above, removes the block on multiple files easily.

Devs could possibly fix this by changing Assembly.LoadFrom to Assembly.UnsafeLoadFrom in the submodule loader and the library Starter. Also devs if you're reading... this was annoying to debug because you have a Console.ReadKey in your exception handler which itself throws an exception (due to redirected stdio) so the original useful error message about loading remote sources gets lost and never logged.

For people that have the startup crash issue on Windows 10 for no apparent reason:

You gotta change Decimal symbol to ".".

For some reason, if your system is using "," it is making the game crash on startup.

You can change it by navigating:

Control Panel -> Region -> Additional Settings

Then:

Changing Decimal symbol from "," to "." fixed it for me guys.
Game loads now without any issue, I can see the main menu and start the game and play it with 80+ fps.

OMG, I think found a solution on web. Give it a try. I'm commenting it out:

windows 10 blocks the file so you have to unblock it in powershell:

you write powershell in search and enter the application, then write somehting like this:

dir C:\a\b\c\d\e -Recurse|Unblock-File

C: is the logical drive where game is installed,

a,b,c,d are the path to the game, in this case e is the bannerlord folder, when you type that, you juut copy -Recurse|Unblock-File and click enter, fixed it for me.

here`s an example: " dir F:\Games\MOB -Recurse|Unblock-File "

There was no "unblock", but I put it all in a .rar and extracted it. While the other .exes still crash, the Bannerlord.Native.exe has launched and I'm starting a campaign. I guess that did it?

I created my account to just to thank u,u are a god,i did have net frame 4.8 and tried install it and it say already installed,so i follow your lead,and now i can join the game,god bless u <3
 
Greetings to the gentlemen. I have already tried everything that is possible except reinstalling the windows. Launcher does not start, closes without error. From the directory, the exe closes with an error after the developer's logo. Logs in the attachment. Maybe someone can offer something else.

When i click on " Bannerlord.exe " don't make any reaction like i didn't click actuly
And " Bannerlord_native.exe " open the first load screen then the game close without any crash or error just like that

I've found something.

Go to steam library: Bannerlord => Manage => Browse local files
Then go to:

and open properties of:

Go to compatibility tab => Set "Run as administrator"
(I deleted my save beforehand but I don't think it's related. Almost forgot i have disabled overlay and other sh*t in steam general tab for Bannerlord)

I'm able to run the game only by this executable. Dunno if steam overwrites permissions but i can't run game from Steam library. Maybe devs can say more.
