First off, I'd like to say that Viking Conquest is definitely one of the best experiences in Warband for me. However, the constant crashes that I have been experiencing throughout the game have really ruined the fun. These crashes usually happen after I've been playing for a while (about 30 minutes), and occur most of the time before/after entering/exiting a scene. Latest crash happened right as I was about to join a battle, I have a crash report from my Mac but I can't post any external links yet in the forums.

Hi Malfalas,

Check this very same thread and try the advices we gave other users with the very same issues. Then, turn on the edit mode from the M&B launcher, run the game and  right after the crash upload the rgl_log to any proper webpage and then share the link using spaces or using, for instance, "(",")" to let you post it.
 
Game crashes whenever my dog is knocked unconscious. I don't know how to remove him from my party or how to solve the issue.

Problem: naval combat is broken.

I didn't played VC from a long time, but now I have issue during naval battles: most of the time when the boats board each other my character happens to fall through the deck, and when this doesn't happen soldiers tend to not follow the moves of the boarding boats an fall or they go up and down the boats in a weird fashion when there is waves. It seems that something related to the boat position is not working properly.
I don't know if it is ok when there is no waves. Is there any thing I can do to prevent those problems?

I just wanted to let you know that I am getting the same problem as above; in a battle, whenever my dog is knocked unconscious the game freezes, and sometimes crashes completely. It's very frustrating, keeping the dog out of battles is all well and good, but I often forget and if I select all and tell them to attack, off it goes bounding at the nearest spearman and happily killing my game.

I have a Late 2015 iMac;
3.2 GHz i5 processor
8GB 1867 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M390 2048 MB

It seems that something related to the boat position is not working properly.

Hi all,

Currently having issues with Viking Conquest where the game keeps crashing. Usually happens when I enter a building within a settlement i.e. a lord's hall or the orphanage in Dorestad or when returning to the world map. The screen goes black/flashes between black and the actual game visuals to the point where it's almost a blur. At this point, the only thing I can do is press ESC but when I click Save or Save and Exit, it says error unable to save. When I quit and return to the main menu from here the save disappears from the load menu but returns once I reboot the game.

This happens quite a bit to the point where it's frustrating to play so I'm desperate to get this fixed!

I am a mac laptop user and unable to change the setting of complex formation button which is f12 but control setting has no option to change it from f12 to something else... few other commands too have some issue
 
Just open the file "~/.mbwarband/last_module_warband" and write inside Viking Conquest.

Your problem (failing to open the configuration window) seems to be related to your Qt library version, but it's hard to say

I have the same issue but cant find last_module_warband on /mbwarband. Is there another solution for this?
 
Hello, I was playing the game and it was almost 500 days in the game. Sometimes the game is not saved, sometimes it crashes. Everytime I was logging in again and playing it. Until today. The saved game is not loading anymore. When I start the game and try to load the saved game, it crashes. (I have seen that game just downloaded an update, I dont know it has something to do with it or not) I would appreciate any fix, because I dont want to start over again.)

Sometimes savegames can get corrupted.
You remember that Warband stores your latest savegame in your Viking saves folder as last_savegame_backup.sav. You rename it to sg01.sav or other and load it.
Hello thak you for your quick response. I tried it but unfortunatelly it does not work. Where can I find the other saved games files, which I have deleted in game menu? I had a few games, maybe if I can find those files, I can then load them and start game for 20-30 days earlier. As I did not delete them from the folder, I can not find those documents in trash folder. Thanks
 
Hello. I am not sure what you mean. You have your savegames here: C:\Users\"Your user name"\Documents\Mount&Blade Warband Savegames\Viking Conquest
Hi,

What I mean is when you have 5 different saved games, you can find 5 different file in that savegames folder. When you delete those files from computer, tey go to the trash bin. But when you delete your saved games IN THE GAME, then these files just disappear.

So, I would like to see if there is any chance to find the save files which are deleted IN GAME MENU.So that I can recover one of them and continue my game from where the game is left.
