Pafnuty?

im on a quest where this pafnuty guy needs to translate a book for me, so im thinking fine... go right ahead~ its said that it will take him 2 weeks to do so and the thing is it's been 30 days already and i cant seem to find him anymore!! does anyone know where he is? i already checked novgorod and cherkassk but hes not there anymore

Did you follow him to the place he went? Try checking villages.

checked most villages now, towns and fortresses as well... seems like he jut vanished with the book he was supposed to translate for me... what a thief 

where did u all find him after the 2 weeks? cherkassk where u brought him in the first place?

awww didn't even know he was running around the map... i thought he was always just inside a city/village or something.
oh well, guess i'll start a new game or find something else to do~~~

Same problem here. I've lost track of the damn Pafnuty guy (actually, I never did see he move out of Moscow, where the library was located) and now I'm absolutly stuck in my 60h+ game. I'm pretty sure he just disappeared, since the escribe doesn't behaves like other companions, travellers can't help at all and he is in no tavern to be seen.

My only hope is that a update may fix it, since I'm playing with autosave feature and can't go back.

I recently did this quest and i had to take him to Moscow and after 2 weeks he disappeared... so i did the quest again but this time i took him to a village called klyn or something and i didnt get to him until 3 weeks later and he was still there... so im thinking that maybe its bugged at certain cities/villages so make sure you save before doing this part of the quest

I may have found a solution. If you're stuck on the part where you escorted Pafnuty to Moscow, waited two weeks (or in my case some 60+ days wandering around trying to find him) and still can't find Pafnuty, then what worked for me was this. I had to make Moscow and the Muscovite faction hostile to me and then I went to Moscow and the choice to talk to Pafnuty appeared. See, I was friendly with the Muscovites at the time, and apparently they assumed you'd be hostile with them and forgot to add that choice in. To get hostile with  them, I just attacked the nearest Muscovite scout or caravan. Hope this helps those who are stuck on this.

8 years later but i am here to tell you that you saved my game. I was looking for the guy and i managed to find him thanks to this, now I must make peace with the muscovite tzardom.
