Don't want to be rude, but Bergen op Zoom, for Frysland? I live just 7 kilometers AWAY from Bergen op Zoom, and it is situated in the Southern part of the Netherlands. And Frysland is the most upperpart of the Netherlands. So I suggest you put Bergen op Zoom in Brabant or Holland.

Yep, I know, but I've just wrote down the places of the mod (didn't modified anything). You'd better post that in the Suggestions thread...

MAP

Some places I wasn't sure where they were (please correct me if I'm wrong):

Kasteel de Klinze: In the North of Leeuwarden.
Ooststellingburcht: no idea... :???:
Kasteel Overcinge: I've placed it near Zwolle

I didn't know where was Kassel, until I've realised that there were a place named Cassel

Well, as the map is from a non-square place, the in-game map would have some places with anything in them (like the place between Doetinchem -Holland- and Geldern -Spanish Empire-), dunno if would be a good idea to avoid the player to pass in some way, or fill the place with woods

About the solitary islands of Fryslan in "enemy territory", I don't mind if it's an error or not... the easier solution is changing the property to the nearest faction, and giving Fryslan other place.

There's just one thing that I don't like, the county of Hainaut is really weak (in properties terms, In my opinion just one town and two castles isn't enough)... In game I haven't fight with them -in this moment, my company is supporting the Spanish Empire, who is at war with Holland-, so I don't know if they are strong enough to keep their places safe, but in the moment they take part in the war, they'd be defeated easily.

I won't say anything about the other factions since I don't know their geography enough. But you've made some weird choices regarding castles and villages in Flanders (completely left out Rijsel for example, making Kortrijk a village, some choices are extremely obscure like Orchies)
These would IMO be better choices

Major cities: (obvious one of course)
Brugge
Gent

Castles : (based on personal knowledge about the area and history cross-referenced with http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/42/Quad_Flandria.jpg and http://www.library.ucla.edu/yrl/reference/maps/blaeu/flandria.jpg (this second map is quite a gem really)

Ieper
Kortrijk
Aalst
Rijsel
Doornik
Duinkerke
Diksmuide
Oostende
Oudenaarde
There's a few other possible ones (the second map shows which ones are the larger fortified cities quite clearly), but I think these are the most prominent.

I could get a list of suitable villages as well if needed, and link them with the appropriate castles.

edit: Some of these maps will probably be helpful, most are of the period: http://www.library.ucla.edu/yrl/reference/maps/blaeu/germania-inferior.htm

Ok, post your sugestions, I've just wrote down the ones that appear in the mod (and I'm from Spain, I just can suggest some places but only after reading some of my history books... but I don't have them here...).

About what you said earlier:

NEVER EVER fill empty spots on a MnB map with forests, since that only slows the player down, so the player has to spend even more time in that vacuum on the map...

looks<gameplay

Yes, I know... and sometimes it makes the game crash already said :???: well, that was a failed suggestion... and, er... leaving it alone?

About all the posts talking about how bad are some places located, are you going to change something?

EDIT: I have to post quicker

I didn't saw the City of Maestricht (Maastricht) anywhere, while it always was a important
city of the occupatant of the country.

Jezze said:
The list is kind of missing a lot of cities we want to add to Warband/outdated, so Maastricht is most likely to be included.

I live in Maastricht for 5 years, and I'm a part of a Historical society of the city,I could
ask my colleague's for information about the city during the 80 year war.

There was a battle at Maastricht, called "The Siege Of Maastricht" in 1579,a part
of the 80 year war.

Link to wikipedia about the siege,
