Firstly, you should be able to camp/rest on the world map because that would be more realistic, but of courseif you do that you can get attacked. There needs to be buttons to press to speed up the time for long journeys, some wildlife would also be good, like a herd of buffalo for example that you can hunt for food. There needs to be a place where you can recruit bandits and higher level soldiers, rather than crappy footmen who die straightaway as the game progresses. The game should also have different types of missions cause it gets pretty boring as the game goes on doing the same ones over and over. Finally there should also be more towns that have an arena like that of Zendar also championships such as one on one competitions in sword fighting and joustng for example.

Firstly i just want to say great game!

Just a couple of quick suggestions. Can we see estates like in stronghold 2 where you can 'invest' your huge wads of bulging bags of gold, an excess troops as a backup force in case of 'accidents' in our exploits.

Luitenants for your own army. With the rank you gain from a faction you would think a certain amount of importance would be rested on your shoulders. Can Heroes such as Mandrid and Borscha act as Luitenants to you where you can give them their own party force that will follow you like the caravans, but not ask you what to do when they catch you. An honour gaurd would be sweet too, sort of along the lines i read about a 'command' group where only hero types can be included but only equal to your leardership skill in slots so each point of skill is another gaurd.

And are there more hero's comming?

AH brain lock too many things to suggest. I've already posted them elsehwere but i don't think they will attract too much attention.

Let's take that thought a step further. I have been playing for a few days now, and as much fun as doing quests, crushing enemies and amassing vast riches can be, I kinda miss a long term goal.
Building your own estate/castle/whatever could be just the beginnings of forming your own empire. Widar already mentioned sieging cities. Why not be able to take them for yourself? Then you could finance your armies by taxing the cities and send them of to conquer under one of your Lieutenants. I've also read about a suggestion to let the player design his own coat of arms, which would go along nicely with that kind of play. One would need a bigger world map for that, but I'm sure it would be great.
And while I'm at the topic of the world map: It seems a bit bland. With caravans travelling to and fro I would expect to see roads between the cities, maybe small outposts to keep the pesky raiders under control and villages, which get raided by those.
Another limitation is that you have almost no choice for your apearance. I'd like to see multiple different armours/weapons with the same stats, which I'm sure is already planned.

If the game is supposed to include some kind of campaign in the future I could live with that as well, but I'd prefer the kind of freedom just described.

I hope I haven't just repeated old suggestions. If so, I apologize for wasting your time.

I do like seeing what is happening on the world map while you sleep.
If you go to sleep tonight and demons from hell invaded would you know about it? its not a realistic option really.

More than a few good ideas here worthy of a separate thread - although most already have been topics for weeks, they could've been added to those in order that interested parties easily find them.

Hi,

You can post your suggestions about Mount&Blade in this forum.

Please note that we already have dozens of planned features for Mount&Blade and doing those alone will take us many months of work. As such, we are not really looking for new features to add to the game. Therefore any new feature you suggest is either (a) already in our to-do list or (b) most probably will not make it into the game.

Would you consider posting your to-do list so that we know what features we can expect in the new version?

A nice feature would be the option to rest in the tavern until your whole party is healed. It's kinda tedious to keep going back into town because your troops are still incapacitated.

I was wondering if it has been planned/suggested etc. to add the ability to fight or use weapons inside the cities or the villages planned for future addition into the game. I believe a sort of mission driven raid (say to take someone hostage or if one would like to break into a castle at any time and go for a five finger discount a la thief but with backup) would be intersting. Of course that would probably require quite a bit of level design for the towns or cities.

Perhaps mentioned before..

If so just disregard..

* could there be sounds when you press the .. halt or charge etc commands..

Would love to hear a (spelling / grammar?) a horn / blow, when I give the charge command... and then charge into a bunch of enemies..

* reconsider Simetricals offer..

Well if you dont need him, then its ok..
but let me tell you.. he is very dedicated and good

I noticed when you go to an inn and you sleep till morning/evening you have to walk back to the inn so you can rest again.  It would add to the realism if you woke inside the inn and if you needed to rest further you wouldn't need to walk so far.

I do like seeing what is happening on the world map while you sleep.

Talking to your party is only available ouside the city on the world map.  It would be nice to be able to give equipment to your characters and check their stats in the party screen regardless of where you happen to be.

Other than those minor game play issues I think this game is an amazing work in progress.  I have been engrossed in it for 3 days and had to buy it.

Keep it up we definitely appreaciate it!!!

I agree about awakening in the inn, and talking to your party!
But if you talk about realism, you shouldn't be able to see the map while you are sleeping... So I guess you have to let go on that one...

Have the terrain on the world map, dictate what the battle map will be like. Sort of what the recent TW did.

This can certainly give some strategic edge when I find myself being chased (or am c hasing) by enemies. Maybe I can lead them into a valley and then fight them there giving me an advantage of  height. Maybe I can lead them to a river etc.

This would require the world map to be a tad more detailed. I keep thinking it'd be sweet with Civ 4's Blue Marble terrain.

Also, aside from the world map having towns and then lots of 'grassland'. Maybe some variation in features too. Maybe we can see parts as farmland etc.

hi this is top game one of the best i'v played for a long while just one sugestion how about troop formations would  be nice instead a coulm of blob

It already does (at least in the 0.731).

If you meet the enemy in woods on a slope (on the world map), you can see that the battleground is steep and wooded.

Having mostly archers and cavalry, I tend to fight on moderate slopes as I can leave archers holding the high ground, whilst I get the cavalry to follow me on numerous passing ride bys.

so i played and here are the things...
1) lance fighting .. it doesn`t work....
2) unarmed fighting doesn`t work
3) quests.. are done kinda week since i speak to mairn guy but i don`t get a quest entry... also i don`t get quest entryes from the merchands that ask products and sell (that should be added somewhere, eventualy on the map if you visited the merchad of a city to be added the sell/purchase of the city). Also the caravan escorts demands should be added to the quests
4)caracters... i should be able to order my troups one by one before the battle so that they know what is to be done, what tactics to use, what weapons (use archery then blade... or mace..). I should be able to equip everybody in the party including the peasants if i have the weapons and if they can use them. Also for horses
5) salvage ... i don`t salvage everything from the battlefield especialy horses... that shouldn`t be true. or should it be based on the inteligence skill the percentage of salvage
6) slaves ... at 20 gc a slave i don`t ever want any... i would rather increase the inventary... the slave section should pay acording to the strenght of the creature i bring or based on the level...
7) more slaves ... If I have 10 slaves (dark knights) i most definiteley i don`t want to sell them for 20 gold, but i want them stripped of everything (they wear 1000 gc armour, 700gc horse, sword and everythig...). ALL the slaves should be stripped when captured so that one can equip his soldiers.
 more slavery ...  based on your carisma the slaves should ask to fight for you. And again the longer they stay in your inventory the bigger the chance... Also when you sell them to the slave trader the slave trader should be able to recicle some and you should find them in a cuple of days in the tavern for recruiting...
9) slave management.. the peasants capture 10 BN (helped by me) and then they just roamed around with them in the inventory... why don`t they sell them?
10)the caravan master should have some leadership added to the party
11) the manhunter should be able to handle 2-3 slaves by himself and increase the party slave capacity.. also upgraded manhunters should handle more...
12) all the party should be able to ride if i give them horses
13) favour rating... if i help some gangs on the map i should have extra bonuses n the map... like shared vision, better prices in the town they control, interventions on my fights... also i should have an info on the fv ratinng ....
14) after the fight there should be an option that all my army upgrades their equipment from the equipment of the victims... (without changint the weapon type thow)

Loved the game... if you have special prices for Romania please let me know because i wish to purchase one but the curent pice is over my budget...

welcome cadaver...Use the search function, you might find the answer to the lance issue. The key is DON'T PUSH ANY BUTTONS. It took me a long time to figure it out.

The unarmed fighting is kind of lousy - but it does kind of work.

A lot of the rest of your points are covered somewhere (again the search function is your friend).

The pricing is pretty low for a computer game. Are you able to find games cheaper in Romania? If so, perhaps Armagan should consider some sort of alternate pricing mechanism.

hello,
indeed unarmed fight kinda works but still it should be working much better. it should have grab, unarming  and other functions. who would fight by punching a swordsman... i would rather go and make a grab on him...
and indeed in the low income countries the games have special prices. All of the majour companies have special prices for east europe at least (so that we learn to purchase games instead of pirating).
And since the game wants to be realistic i strongly sugest considering the looting part so that i (or someone form my party) can keep all of the things (horses, weapons, armours).
At this point we purchase the games in romania for 10-20E usualy. The shops don`t even bring games that exceed 30E.
Thanks

[edit] sieges don`t work as well as battle...
the party keeps geting stucked in the walls. I realy could use a stair all for myself so that if they become a compact group at the entrance i can still go around them...
the ai at the sieges is not good... my party should climb and then charge the archers as soon as posibile... not stay and fight in the wall so noone can go around him... his ideea should be to alow to be surounded by friends  so he should be gliding along the wall to the left so that he can have a shield on the left side and a sword on the right and firends should climb to the right as soon as posibile...

Another problem i found.. a evil group atacked and freed an group of knigts (i belive that they fought an prisoner train or something) so the river pirates ended up having 2 kights and 5 horsemans into their gang... the prisoners should not join a gang of diferent alignment (this way vaegirs could end in the swadian army) and i atacked the river pirates and ended up fighting army soldiers.

another problem... the game keeps freezing and geting the processor to 100% and defreezes in about 5 seconds.. realy anoyng in combat... and on the map as well...
