england? in control of the british isles? i believe not sir. in fact it was a scotish king: James VII who united the british countries: England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales under one king. although he kept the crowns seperated he was the firt man to be king of all of the countries... btw he was James II of england, wales, ireland.

Scottish king, English Kingdom in my opinion, and noticed they kept English as the main language, and kept London as the capital.

That's true, and the Kings were not so strong at that time... Strong, but couldn't make much... There were some barons lurking somewhere to slay him if he done something to boost his people right?

There was always a price on the English Crown, i believe Queen Elizabeth the 2nd was the first English Monarch to possibly not have a bounty on her head.
