I seem to have a problem doing this,

I installed Moint & Blade using STEAM, so cant see any files to edit. I bought the game and used the cd key from Direct2drive, shall i just download the game from D2D or would i lose my progress etc..

The Steam files can be found in /Steam/SteamApps/common/mount and blade/

- update - As suggested by Highlander, changing it to 10 works even better. This is the AI Lord's behavior when they are campaigning. That way they follow you without initiating the menu every stop.

Actually, I think that the 10 is actually a 11 in version 1.11.

In python that is:

- Open module.game.menus.py
- Search for:

(party_set_ai_behavior, "$g_encountered_party", ai_bhvr_driven_by_party),

- Replace with:

(party_set_ai_behavior, "$g_encountered_party", ai_bhvr_escort_party),

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but will these tweaks work in mods? Or do you have to go into their individual directories and edit the files again? Please say they work in mods... lol (I say "these tweaks" because I just went through the "Customising your game 1.00" thing).

Herding cattle got so annoying that I just started flat out refusing any quests that made me get cattle.

It doesnt work with me. I use vista and tried the stuff above but whenever I open the game it gives an error after loading 75% Any suggestions??? I hate those cattle!
