Player Ratings
2013 (The Dawn) First off, welcome to my list that I promised Marnid many many months ago. After much thought and consideration I decided to revamp my old list which still stands as one of the most debated creation's on the forums. This new list is pretty straight forward and easy to understand with the exception of the *'s. When you see these next to a player's name it means they were on the list the previous era. I started off with 2013 due to the low quality stat keeping and poor thread maintenance that prior tournaments utilized. The United North American Championship was the first massively organized tournament in North American history and it began a trend of seasonal tournaments for many years. It was considered the ultimate tournament victory until the creation of Warband Pro League much later in NA's history. This particular year lead to the decline of some of the older clans that had dominated the scene earlier and lead to the exit of Black Shields after their final loss to West Knights. With a victory over Black Shields in the finals of UNAC S1, West Knights would go on to establish a dominance over the NA scene that has never been seen since. This year also saw notable North American Hall of Fame player, Oodle, get his start. After a great performance that placed him in the upper tiers of infantry players in UNAC S1, Oodle would go on to become the most dominant player to ever play in North American history. Other notable things you will see here is that I decided to go with Leroux for the top archer spot. He dominated in UNAC S1 and while Lagstro is a household name now he was not yet the same ultimate force he is known to be today. Calamity also set the record for kills in this tournament; although it was also the longest tournament in NA history.

2014 (The Rise) 2014 saw the continuance of West Knights dominance over the North American field. Outside of one fluke loss that left them squabbling in third place; they proved to be the top team once again in this era of play. The Midnight Watchmen, another one of the old guards, was the chief competitor to the West Knights but they did not offer much in terms of competition until UNAC S3 when they defeated KoA to claim the gold medal. 2014 also brought a new style of cavalry play to North America. Cavalry became the most dominant force in the game and future Hall of Famer, Cru, got his start in this time period. Other cavalry greats such as Vinnypooh and Can also made it to the top of the ratings for the first time as they made a name for themselves in the three UNAC tournaments that took place in 2014. 2014 was host to more tournaments than any other time period in NA history and the player base grew to a massive level for NA standards. Many of the famous "new" players also got their start this era. That list includes greats such as Tito, PolarBear, Dodge, Creed, and most importantly Cav Jeffrey.

2015 (The Peak) In terms of skill level, 2015 brought about the peak of North American players. While the peak of the top teams increased, the skill disparity between teams increased even more so. With 2015 also came the beginning of the super teams, an issue that would continue throughout the rest of NA history. The almighty Reign E-Sports was founded and unfounded after a disaterous attempt to combine great players from multiple teams together to win prize mousepads from Arys. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Kingdom of Blacktide formed and absolutely dominated all competition to the point of being unfun. UNAC S5 remained as competitive as ever but players were still wanting more. Arys took it upon himself to create a tournament that had never been attempted before. The Warband Pro League was the most important tournament in NA history. It catered to both EU and NA and had more teams entered than any previous NA attempt. Knights of the Bound attempted to unseat the mighty West Knights from their throne of winning but in the end the West Knights and all their rustiness took the title and established themselves once again the kings of North America. Most people can still remember the clutch shots of Achilles that sealed the deal.

2016-2017 (The Twilight) As NA entered the 2016 season and 2017 seasons, the time of serious competitive play had began to fade. There were two major tournaments in these years, UNAC S6 and WPL S2. UNAC S6 saw the Turtle Knights win their first major after several years of attempts. They vanquished the mighty Septic Justice Warriors in the finals after a painstakingly long match with two overtimes. This was the only major tournament in which my own team placed with RaTs taking the bronze medal after an OE forfeit. After UNAC S6, pickup parties became the new primary form of practice and Guaccmoleboy handed the reigns over to myself and RaT parties were formed. In all we hosted over 300 different pickup parties in this two year span and recorded stats for fun from most of the matches. Jeffrey9792, Tito and Lagstro were the top performers. After a short hiatus, Arys announced the return of WPL and with it a whole new level of tournament play. He promised new prizes, a NA vs EU final bracket and many more things that never appeared as NA settled in for it's final tournament. After a very disapointing UNAC S6 appearance, One Eyed threw out it's old duel kids and replaced them with all star talent and won the major over wK. Turtle Knights claimed the bronze medal after defeating a bunch of old Balions rather handedly. With these results the final major tournament in NA was finished and the community would slowly begin to die down from here on out. This era should most be remembered by the intense rivalry matches between tK, wK and OE.

2018-2019 (The Death) There were no major tournaments held in 2018 or 2019 in North America. Several small tournaments were hosted such as Warband Fantasy League and other small multi week tournaments that usually failed to finish or had several teams drop out. Competitive play for the most part was left to pickup parties and matchmaking. While the overall skill level dropped drastically compared to latter years, there were several names that made note. Yoshie, Alyss and Easter Cow. Had they started their Warband careers earlier they may have made an impact on the scene but unfortunately for them they did not. Therefore despite their dominance the past year in the scene they will be left off the 'All Time' List until they can claim more fake internet points.

Top Players of All Time Rating players is obviously a very subjective process. It's impossible to not show bias when compiling a list of players that have played for the past seven years. I first used stats and focused on the kill death ratio from past tournaments to get my list of players for each category. It took many hours to get the stats together and unfortunately most of them are incomplete due to user errors. Once I did that I tossed out the names that were obvious flukes (sorry) and then divided each era and assigned point values to each. Players that played from 2015 to 2017 were given the most value. This is due to the decreased level of play and competitiveness in the prior and following years. Another important factor was that NA changed fighting speed in 2015 and many previously great players hit a major cliff and fell down in the charts. Overall this is one of my first attempts at a list that truly combines stats with the "eye test". I decided to forego numbers and went for a more cleaner aesthetic.
