@Callum_TaleWorlds
Does that mean everyone who applied for beta can take part in it?
Also, i made a mistake and applied twice because i forgot to enter my CD key the first time, is that gonna be a problem?
@Callum_TaleWorlds
How long do they respond to applications? And by what parameters do you choose who goes for closed beta testing?

Yeah, very unlucky moment for me right there, hilarious too

He did thank me for teaching him how to shield bash at around 7:40 and I did get him quite a few times during the video though. I had not played the beta for a couple of weeks so it was nice to see progress.

At 5:08 starts a song "Hamlet" from game the Guild 2 Rennaissance, one of my favourite games with best medieval sountrack ( although is in rennaissance era)

They could put a couple more songs from that game, like : " Village" , "Medieval" , "Small Town" and many more would fit in different situations and the whole ambient of Bannerlord.
Here's their whole soundrack playlist for who's interested:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2CAFB3EB55F69BFD

I dont know who holds the right to those soundtracks, but it would be awesome to hear a couple more, if some dev happen to listen to a couple i suggested or some others

usually avoid early access like the plague but this is gona have to be an exception. hype

Me too.  The Early Access announcement has me torn.  I generally hate Early Access because I am playing a half finished game full of bugs that I either get my fill of or get annoyed with before the game is completed and usually I stop playing before the game is fully released.

Today I am saying I am going to be strong and wait until it is fully released before playing but of course March is a long way away and I expect that as soon as it is available I will be playing along everyone else here

I like to think that the "Thank you"-video being not-listed on YouTube is Taleworld's way of actually making it a personal message to us.

That is actually really true. How sweet! How it goes? Oh, yes...
Now that is exactly the careTM, and loveTM
we have been waitingTM for.
This. EPIC EPIC EPIC GAMESCOM HYPE EPIC RELEASE

What is pissing me most about gamescom is that most videos are of terrible quality. I can barely see any details. Maybe it's youtube screwing me, I don't know. But I was glad that the EA Release finally arrived. I also detest EA games and never buy 'em, but this will be the exception, for I am sure I'll keep on playing this for years to come.

Hello Callum.
Please forward the following request: As soon as Gamedcom is over, you will publish the playable gamescom 2019 demo. I think we deserve so much for waiting so many years!

I really like the physics and graphics. it's the game that I wanted. Lot of improvement since warband and lot of very good idea. The game doesn't lag. The stone do a stone sound and the wood do a wood sound...The mod can will be great. Thank you very much  thank taleworlds and the community. sorry for my french-english^^

Hey fellow feast lovers and butterlords

I've been playing Warband since 2011, finally managed to play Bannerlord at gamescom and got access to the closed beta

My question: I'd like to give some feedback on gameplay etc, but couldn't find a proper feedback thread in the bannerlord discussion section. Is there a secluded area in the forum for closed beta participants? Because not having a collective feedback thread would be super odd...

There is, PM Callum for access.

I have a question about the mechanics of unit placement during the battle.

In warband, keeping f1 pressed, the flag shows you where the units would go, while in bannerlord it seems that you select a point when you hold f1 and keeping it pressed, the rectangular shape of the handful of soldiers can be changed, modifying the base and height of the rectangle so as to have a more or less wide formation as desired.
But I did not understand if this rectangle can also be rotated.

I wonder therefore:
1) Is it also possible to "ROTATE" this rectangle on the spot before giving the order to preside over the designated point?
2) or does the front of the formation rectangle always remain in the same direction in which the PG looks and the only way to rotate it would be to restore order from a different position and therefore turn with the PG in the desired direction?

besides watching some gameplay concerning the night sieges, I noticed something:
the campfires or the flames that are around (such as burnt carts or fires to measure distances) do not illuminate what is seen around.
in short, they are flames that do not illuminate and clash a lot.
If they illuminated the area adjacent to them they would give much more immersiveness.
This problem is related to the fact that we are still in beta, right?

Hey I have 2 quick questions.
First, how much can you tone down the graphics, because I only have a crappy laptop to play on
Second, will this be coming out on console? that'd fix the bad laptop problem
ok that's all bye

So, out of curiousity I researched the sword names in faction overlook videos some people did and put on youtube

There are some interesting stuff that I found.

Appearently the Aserai swords we are shown are mostly picked from Africa. Kaskara is from Sudan and Flyssa is from Algeria.
In fact the latter was used in 19th century against French. Internet says was used in 19th century and before. Hopefully thats a long before.
The other is scimitar of course which I a long time ago made a topic about(that scimitars(generic curved ''islamic'' swords) arent actually original arab swords they were introduced to middle east via Turks conversion to islam, before that Arabs used straight swords)

Taleworlds in the developer blog implied they will borrow from Berbers too but tbh I wasnt expecting this much.

Anyway also that cool Falx sword and its upgrade Rhomphaia were appearently of Thracian origin. Well, Falx; Thracian and Dachian and the latter Thracian.

Spatha was a replacement to Gladius in late Roman Empire. Dont know if it was used in Byzantine.
Paramerion was a Byzantine sword inspired by curved swords of middle east.
Appearently they found it useful for cavalry.
