...which might indicate something about the combat itself is off, and not the players.
I don't know, IGN video was different, even if it was singleplayer the level was way more higher than this, it may be something off, warband beta was weird too but then again, not a single block it's really weird
I'll take some of my comment back because rewatching there are a couple of good players, but other commit mistakes that are kinda rookie, and mistakes that have definitly nothing to do with the game, as you can find rookie players in warband doing the same, I'll post about it later in detail

So first of all thank you TW for sharing a gameplay with the community! My question is, is this mod going to be the mod playable at gamescom? Or is it another one?

Looks nice! The sound design defo needs work. A constant background noise like wind (with different versions for desert, steppe, grassy maps etc.), perhaps slightly more audible footsteps and so on, could add a lot of flavor even on their own to the soundscape.

Mounted combat looks better than it used to (I think?). It used to look a bit like the horse was just floating around. I love how archery looks and feels like in the footage.

Thank you for the gameplay! There's a lot of good things in there as mentioned by others above.

The speed really bothers me though. It looks slow. Is it set to slow so you can see bugs better or is this what it's supposed to be in the finished product? Clarification would be great!

Edit: just looked into the video again, getting more accustomed to the speed. But something feels off still.

Τhe testers should capture and rewatch their own gameplay, there are so many points made by everyone in this thread that are valid just by watching the video in slow-mo and paying attention, playing the game is always phase 1, rewatching and absorbing information is more crucial. I feel like many of the issues noted by many here should not exist in a game that has been in development for 7 good years.

Finally  A usefull blog with a gameplay video !!!

Thanks for this video. I found that graphcis seems great. Gameplay, maniability and so on seems like WB, i will have no difficulty playing i think. It's a good point not to have changing everything. Archer's aim point is great and easy to see/use. Also, congrat to devs in charge of map design, it's not just a basic round/square arena, this map seems cool to play, with lots of different ways to move, spot ennemies, hide, flank...

I am a solo player, but this video make me wanted to play in this MP mode !

Just waiting for alpha / beta / release...

I want to ask a personal question. Why did Ali Erkin leave his job?
Just curious and concerned.

Management people leave towards the completion of the game or certain aspects that are completed. This happened to CD Projekt red aswell. New job opportunities arise, you see a job in video games as a fun thing to do because you see it from the fan point of view, which is not the reality. More money will always make people leave for something else, so let's stop the doom and gloom crap.

thanks for the long gameplay!
I like the impact sound of arrows...but someone should give Callum training in blocking!
and shooting
And can you please make the combat slower, I'm getting old and won't be able to keep up with the reflexes of the 14-year-olds who will play this game  :ohdear:

Well, it was a terrible answer, but I believed it. I don't think there's anything better than a vacation and I don't think I'm much of a fan yet, just a ordinary players.

This and some singleplayer will be at gamescom

Love this video, it shows everything in a good detailed way.

The only remarks I have are the exact ones 578 and Khergit already made.
And the one Sundeki made about the anime energy blasts on the arrows.

For the rest it seems pretty well rounded. Can't wait for the beta!

Hi Callum!
Dear Developers! Thanks for the tree (13:47)!
It is beautiful

So does that mean the developers earned this badge?

Tbh I'd rather you didn't. *****ing and moaning about how the players in the video weren't good enough, in your eyes, serves no purpose. The only relevance it could have is if their performance illustrates the differences between WB and BL, and that even WB veterans will have some learning to do before they master the new game. If their mistakes weren't due to the game, then constantly *****ing about them is pointless. Let's critique the game, not be a **** to the people playing it.

I don't know how difficult it would be, but sound effects should start cutting the higher frequencies after some distance along with the diminishing overall volume.
