I think some people will be disappointed with the pre-defined classes, but it will definitely make for a more balanced experience.

On paper it sounds like a good improvement over Warband's system: it kills that dreadful snowballing effect and from what I gather it makes it easy to quickly recognize what you're fighting against, which seems great for competitive matches in particular. Hopefully the amount of classes and perks in the game will easily replace the equipment variety found in Warband, so that players will still be able to somewhat customize their gear while keeping a good range of choice. Can't wait to try it out!

It would be great to know if there are any plans about cosmetic customization, as that's something which I would love to see in the game and could be quite fitting in the multiplayer scene.
In the first screenshot there's a "Customize Character" button at the bottom. I'm guessing that's what it's for.

I think that would explain the purpose of the armory tab in the multiplayer menu, although it could also just be for customizing our character's face, body and banner.


That's good to know, it would be interesting to see if they tie the cosmetics into a simple progression system.

I wonder why they are passed over to Sturgia.
Ulfhednar were Germanic warriors, maybe they are the common units of Sturgia and Battania ?

I like the pre defined class equipment, i hated in Warband when i, in mediocre armor and with mediocre weapon and shield, go against a NAKED dude just so he can 1 hit kill me with most expensive bastard sword.

I dont know exact aim but all competitions have snowball affect, add a little snowball  :P It makes comebacks more fun, and make series depend on strategies.

Hopefully you’ll have an option to remove this and/or a mod. Being able to choose whatever you want to use is nice.

There seems to be a double space at the place where single space should be. Please take a closer look at the class description.

The text is simply Justified....leads to extra spaces throughout. Not a mistake
Let me know if you'd like me to create a custom shield/coat of arms for you! I do 3D modeling and have access to rendering programs. I have many shield designs already made and would just have to swap colors/insignias around.

Thank you Callum. Great to hear the beta is now officially underway. Also we seem to be getting decent steady information flow and nice screens each week, which I am also enjoying immensely.

It sound like good idea, but I hope that player who will play good and have a few kills in round will still get a nice gold rewards. For better equipment or for trade/share equipment like drop better shield to someone and etc.
But we will see, i hope for more info later :)

I like the changes made to the multiplayer system.
I know some people are unhappy to hear that gear customisation is lacking, but this should allow for a better mp experience. I’m sure mods will bring back the likes of mercenaries/cRPG.

I am more excited for the matchmaking than anything. I want to play against people my level, not Shin and Footbeard. Am I correct to assume it will include a ranking system and not just some casual matchmaking?

I'm going to miss being able to take off my boots but the system looks good. A succinct and well presented summary of the Captain Mode videos. Getting very keen
