You could have the option of giving the task to one of your minions, so you wouldn't have to do it yourself or watch every time if you didn't feel like it.

I'd even go further and say that it would be great if we could have interactions with corpses
I'm sure our fellow necrophiles would love these features  :fruity:

If an ai Lord threatens to execute the player, or visa versa, I would like the option to attempt to barter a higher than normal ransom as an alternative. It will make it worthwhile for players to intimidate prisoners for a better ransom and will give them an opportunity when roles are reversed to buy a second chance. Such a ransom should be very expensive, putting it beyond some people's means.

Equally, I'd like an option to either:
a. return the executed Lord's body and armour to his family for burial, reducing the negative honour consequences; or
b. loot the executed Lord's armour and bury him/her in an unmarked grave, increasing the honour penalties.

Really cool feature. You could add some depth with a couple suggestions:

If you are a really, really, powerful Lord who executes practically every Lord you capture, you could get in diplomacy like a "fear" factor in your enemies. Meaning that other Lords are afraid of you and will not fight you even if the odds are similar, and they will kind of avoid 1 v 1 conflict agaisnt you. Instead they will try to gather around allies maybe even Lords from another kingdom with whom they have a good relationship, just to try to execute you and give end to your bloody dishonorable and unforgiving character.

I think of it a little bit like Tywin Lannister, he has a few scenes where he explains where does the power of the Lannisters come from, and it is the fear in the other houses to harm a Lannister, and what Tywin might do in retaliation. The Red Wedding is just an example

If you want to watch the Tywin Lannister scenes search in youtube for these two videos:
"Game of Thrones - Jaime & Tywin Lannister Conversation"
"How Tywin Lannister Commands Respect"

Also what NPN99 said sounds good and could also apply to the character the other way around in the case you are the prisoner. And the whole thing of having an animation done by you actually clicking or giving the order to one of our men sounds really good and not to much of a mess i think. I understand that my proposal of fear is a harder feature to implement because AI is hard, but would love just to see you guys consider it. And you know it doesnt have to be introduced at official launch, maybe a patch one year after release or something

I like these options a lot! Would really fleshed out the system of special and named armours and weapons. It will create legacies of things passed down generation to generation and maybe continue rivalries as that enemy noble is wearing your previous character's favorite helm.
No cost too great. No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering. Born of god and Void. You shall seal the blinding light that plagues their dream. You are the vessel.

Very good blog indeed.
Yes we were told of this feature before but blog told us couple of features about it.

1)It would be nice to know if executions will ever become handy.
I mean it says executing a dishonorable lord will not be punishing okay but will the only good it bring be the satisfaction of the player ? That would be very bad because.
Fear factor for example. If we execute every lord we encounter this should scare our peasants to riot so we can tax the ''f'' out of them, other enemies be afraid of engaging us, they shall think we are not a man to be trifled with. Also edgelords in our faction like us.

2)Will it depend on the faction ? I mean culture wise ? For example Mongols were so that when Jebe didnt genocide people of the city he conquered the entire family alienated him forever.

3) Will we get our asses kicked from our faction if we execute a lot of honorable men ?

4) Are there any Vlad the Impaler kind of psycho king in the game ?

Is there any chance that the faces of the charecters will ever look more realistic and less cartoonish? And facial expression and gestures while talking like in the Witcher 3? You've made good-looking clothes long time ago, I've been waiting for you to make faces better, but nothing has changed so far. Add some wrinkles on the forhead, some moles here and there, some imperfections, make those eyebrows more natural looking. Look at the character in this picture as a compairison to see what I mean...

Oooh, what about our prisoners (non lords)
? Can we choose to release, random, or execute them?

Thank you Callum ! Nice blog : this feature should give a nice depth to the game ! I plan to be rather honorable but if my character was to be executed, this would really put quite a lot of emotions into it (I wish so much to have a daughter who will then turn into a Boudicca like warrior :D)

I also support the ideas of NPC99 to be able to negociate a way out of an execution. However to use it a negociation tool to put pressure on a lord in order to obtain more money might be tricky to balance : we will already have to negociate a ransom to be released from prison and I wouldn't like AI lords to abuse this system to extort money from you or other AI lords.
So I think the negociation proposal should only be available to the prisonner as a last chance to escape death. Not as a way to obtain more gold (once again, only because i'm concerned about balancing issues).

I also like the idea of returning the corpse of the executed lord with his possessions or burying him on site and keep his goods.
