Testing a game is an integral part of the development process, and with a game of the scale of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, the testing process is paramount in ensuring that the many different features and systems, that more often than not are intertwined and dependant on each other, work as intended to provide players with a fun and enjoyable experience. In this week’s blog, we talk with one of the people responsible for making sure that the game meets the standards that both we and our players expect, QA Tester, Onurcan Dönmez.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/110

How can no one in the company like the Empire when you are located at the very place the Byzantines once called home? Disgraceful.

You all prefer those murderous horse archer cowards don't you!

Is it just me or does the helmets on the spearmen in this image look wrong?

Their heads are smaller than the hat and the hat looks like its floating leaving a big gap between the forehead and the hat

That got dark pretty quickly. Loved it!

Can you make the blocking animations look more natural? Image looks weird when it looks like those battanian infantry are doing some sort of exercise in front of a charging heavy cavalry.

Ok. I am now filling in my job application to TW as a QA tester after just the first few words "I play Bannerlord from morning till night....."

And I loved the bug list. I am sure there are modders here who will be trying to replicate some of those bugs.

Posting because I noticed I have had an account here for a long time but never used it as I have been following the development of this game on and off since you announced it. The original M&B and M&B: Warband are one of my all time favorite games and it's very nice to hear the development has been going well. The game is looking good and I hope you'll be able to release it within this decade as there are no other games like M&B.

“It is a nice question but difficult to answer. Many problems about various issues are fixed and improved thanks to our feedback and comments, but I can give army AI as a specific example. Previously, armies scattered quickly and misused their time and supplies as a result of ineffective decisions. But now, thanks to the improved AI, they are more effective at making sensible and consistent decisions.”

Can you go into more detail on exactly how you fixed it?

I don't think I would have what it takes to be a QA tester in such a branching and complex environment as a top tier game.

That being said, it must be memorable to be a part of the process like that.

WHAT DO YOU CURRENTLY WORK ON?
“Multiplayer tests are taking most of my time recently. As we have already announced, we are preparing to enter a beta process soon and so we are working hard on this to present the game in the best way possible.”
Beta coming this year?

Multiplayer tests [Office LAN parties]are taking most of my time recently. As we have already announced, we are preparing to enter a beta process soon and so we are working hard on this to present the game in the best way possible[getting in as much practice as possible so when the time comes we can beat all you plebs].”
