Each of these cultures sports their own unique types of clothing, weapons, armour, and architectural styles, bringing a high-level of diversity to the continent of Calradia. However, there was one aspect of the game that was a little lacking and not entirely in keeping with our efforts to create a huge, believable game world. And for a game with the word Mount in the title, it is something we thought we should take a closer look at... We are of course talking about horses!

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/104

Naming the horse would be a funny little detail and not difficult to implement. Just as we can name our sword, much less our saddle.
And in MP, you should be able to name other people's horses.

I haven't heard such a good idea in a while. How good that you came back from your retirement to enlighten us with your wisdom. :iamamoron:

Well, they are more refined than they used to be, certainly, fewer harsh edges, more natural muscle tone, better shapes overall. They are all distinctly Andalusian or Fiesian, ( was going to say Azteca but I don't know how many people know that that is.)
Of course there are more desert-type horses than Arabians, there's Turkomen, Akhal-Teke, Kaimanawa, Kathiawari and Marwari as well. All those breeds are light and lithe but they range in height and form, Turks and Tekes being more hotblood-esque and I'm hoping the desert horses will be refined a bit more in their facial profile, tail carraige, and leg-length to match them.

That wretched fish-eye lens on the screenshots is not helping these horse models one bit.

The black horses with feathers are interesting, I feel like they are based around an Andalusian and Friesian cross, I love fuzzy-footed horses.

I'm hoping as development goes on we get a variety of base-coat colors beyond Bay, black and white-grey to stack markings on top of. As well as the occasional pinto pattern because even Arabs have genes for Splash White and Rabicano, no matter how much they try to weed it out through the registry. Friesians also come in some fiery red shades of sorrel/chestnut when black isn't covering it up. Also hoping there are more mane and tail colors on the way.

Even if not I can always make my own pinto, I just lack the 3D modeling skills. I can draw till I'm blue in the face but the rest is up in the air till I learn.

PS: Also was laughing super hard at the horse breed comparisons with pictures from Horse Isle 1. That was a throwback. Especially since they redid most of those breeds 8 years ago. XD

I forgot about the Khuzait horse. Stocky thing with a convex profile and a thick buckskin coat. Will there pangare/mealy versions of that one I wonder? Wonder if they'll animate their ears eventually...

Do not double post, use the "modify" button to change your first one.

If i am bannerlord,
1 the tax from village would be in coins or goods, such as bread or fish?
2 sold too much fish will it be let the price lower?
3 would fish have higher price at desert place ?
4 could i hire a team of trader to sold my fish regularly or just able sale the fish by myself?
5 would it be horse combine with carriage?

6 if my village have large amount of shipwreck in the same time by typhoon, would it mean not enough food to get through the winter?
7 Could i team up my villager to rob another village? and dismiss them after the mission?

For everyone worried they wont get into the beta.

Taleworlds would be stupid to not invite everyone that reads and comments most weeks, we are thr loyal fans waiting patiently and not so patiently (rightfully so)

So if we dont all get an invite taleworlds doesnt care about loyalty. 7 plus years I have been following this game. Safe to say I'm definitely top 100 most keen people for this game.

One thing that concerns me with the screenshots is the lack of far away terrain in the background, which makes the scene feel disconnected from the rest of the world. Does anyone else feel the same? I mean, it would be nice to see mountains, rivers, ocean and even fiefs from the distance.

The beta is for testing the game, not for trying it out. Testing a game is way harder than most people assume and there are trained game testers for a reason.

I know we’ve had another dev blog talking about recruiting, but I was just playing war and today and I thought of this question. For the Devs or anyone that may know the answer if it was answered a while back.

So the AI lords will have to travel around to recruit soldiers just like the player this time around. But what happens if a lord joins a different faction that they originated from. Will they go back to that faction to recruit or will they recruit men from the faction that they are part of or that their faction controls on the map?
If anyone can answer this please do so? Devs?

Also it would be great to see like a faction conquers a new castle, we should be able to also recruit soldiers from the faction that just took it over as well as the original faction troops. I think this would be great because the owner of the castle is training them right? They will train them to fight like their troops not a foreign troop type, unless they like find a foreigner that can train “their” troops. This would make sense to me. Or at least I think this is the logical way of doing it instead of location pre determined troops training. But I bet it would take a lot of work to get this implemented into the game. One can hope tho.

Also another thing I hope that banner lord does. Which Warband kind of bugs me. When I promote a troop that I don’t currently have in my party it sends it down to the bottom of the party screen. I like to have my troops organized like recruits, then nor footman, then the next one down to Huscarls then I start my ranged troops with Calvary before the foot soldiers if I have any calvary. Hopefully Bannerlord lets you sort it and the PlayStation version is easier to navigate your troops and reorganize them if need so.

I'm really not sure about the PS version, but there should be a button at the top of your troop list that says "move unit up" and "move unit down". This allows you to sort your troops, which also determines what order they spawn in for the battle. I agree, though, I hope it's much easier to order your troops in BL.

Actually, something I've been thinking about is it would be cool to be able to create "divisions" in your army. Ideally, this would include a pre-battle phase where your divisions could be moved around a much smaller version of the world map, then when two opposing divisions meet that's when the battle starts, with the divisions arriving as they would where they were placed on the map. Not sure if I was able to explain it correctly, but I think it would lead to much more organic battles, where you could have three or four divisions showing up on the map at different times and areas of the battlefield.

Lots of screenshot  , it seems we can start a wiki with all of this.

However, i would have appreciate to see at least one of them in his "war version".

I would have also appreciate to learn more about animal breeding system : how ? where ? how long to breed ? which price ? and more usefull tips.

The seriousness of the problem has been dissolved.

I am not a historian, but is it possible to see fire arrows (or other types of shells) in the new mount and blade? :?:

It's been argued in the past. In Battanian Siege defense video there are some fires which look interactable. As if they were put so that defendwr archers shall be able to lit their arrowtips. Ofc this is just a theory. During the video such thing wasnt the case, they were uninteractable and noone shot fire arrows.

I hope that we can customize them with armors, flags etc.
Train them, fight together and become soul mates
Bonding with the siege engines is what makes this game different. Light up the fire of love and burn the enemy garrison to crisps.

OR throw some boulders on attacking cupids faces! always an option too! :fruity:

Or there will also be time to negotiate and end the siege in a friendly bbq roasting deer in butter sauce strung on the crossbow bolts

Harlaus approves of this approach, as long as the bbq is held in Praven! With butter* - Most important part

The PS version does have buttons to move troop up or down but it’s just not clean like when you move troops up or down it scrolls the screen back to the top so I have to scroll down again to keep moving troops around but it’s just my preference I guess.

I did understand the division system you tried to explain and yeah, now that you’ve said that I agree that it would be cool. There’s a few games that I played on PC when I was younger that kinda worked like that. You commanded little divisions of archers and Calvary and footmen, but you could have multiple of each division and it was cool. And if you could choose for them to not show up or delay their spawn. And then like launch a flank maneuver with Calvary would be awesome. But also I hope that they kinda make the voice commands easier to use. Because I’ll be there saying infantry 8 times before a it registers. Maybe it’s my Portuguese accent but still. It should be close word is enough. I feel like voice commands on PS4 is better than trying to use the buttons.
