We want to ease back into them with a small update about a change we made quite recently to our conversation camera.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/92

If you overlay the blog's two screenshots the NPC's dialogue box is in exactly the same location:

Is this a fixed location? I hope not as I want to be able to talk to children and dwarves without their faces being obscured:

Given the different body heights now available, is it possible to compensate for this when pointing the dialogue camera?

I don't see the box location being an issue, they did say that the camera angle focuses on the NPC. The camera angle will just change and no one will be obstructed.

This is a good example of the fine-tuning we would expect to see at this point. Is this feature essential? Heck no and it obviously never made it to the SDD, but it looks good.

As is everyoneI'm sure, I'm beyond curious as to what is being worked on now that is critical to it's release/beta phase because if resources are able to be allocated to this, then it implies that the bases being focused on elsewhere are all full up. In any case, great idea!

This is an example of fine-tuning I'd rather see post-release.

did anyone notice that Unqid (the Aserai Sultan by the way )name was written in green will the title was white does that mean that the character's title will change based on their holds

I hope you're right - fingers crossed.

Easing into the blogs... Screw that man lol it's always funny when Callum lets us know that he realizes the topic he's forced to write about is garbage.

I guess it can be viewed as a good thing that they're making such small changes now? I hope so.

It's always nice to see a new blog, thanks!
First screen show us some good shadows all around also casted over objects, something totally bugged in warband but seems finally fixed, maybe they are just too dark for the amount of sunlight but I'm not sure, the lighting is something you have always under eyes but hard to reproduce.

They've said they're going to implement Global Illumination which is a lighting model designed to simulate bounce lighting and fill in the shadows with ambient light. Even though the results so far have been underwhelming, it's clearly not implemented in these screenshots at all. It's likely they haven't decided to bake it into the game yet which was the reason given for such poor lighting in a previous gamescom.

The blur effect on the kid make it look liking a bad photoshop except that interesting blog, happy they add people near lord into conversation screen, but only body guards i don't know, it is pretty cool to see a good part of the army behind a lord like in TLD and not only some bodyguards.

She was photo-shopped in so that guy could present his point (unless they changed the screenshot in the blog to exclude the girl)

This game is looking absolutely ASTONISHING and it took me a few seconds to think of that word the faces, eyes, and beards look so smooth all of it looks amazing and it seems like you guys have thought of everything but ***I really wish you guys (Talesworld) would let us help you get this game to where we all want it to be. (Open Beta?) I'm still very confident it's going to be a glorious game at launch. You better give us that release date on March.

P.S. I'll be preordering for the Xbox One

You guys did a good job with Gamescom, so I've held my incessant whining for several months. This blog has annoyed me though. If you want to create a blog about the camera changes as a whole compared to Warband (or whatever else), then fine. This blog is a bit of a slap in the face though. Better that you had've said the dev blogs were returning on the 17th and given us something that was worthwhile. Instead, basically all we get is:

You know the existing conversation camera? Well guess what everyone we tweaked it. See you next week idiots.

Like yeah, we understand; there's going to be a conversation camera. And the current (or now previous) iteration of the conversation camera will be getting tweaked up to release. This isn't whole dev blog worthy and should've just been thrown at the end of another dev blog as a sweetener, and it is ultimately so irrelevant that you could've not mentioned it and nobody would've noticed the difference.

Talk abput release date then hold out til the 10th and then bring out camera immersion blog? Feeling very cheated..

Thanks for keeping up high standards, that will make Bannerlords. Many failed games with average quality.

Seeing my peasants formed up in a pitch-fork phalanx, in realistic quality, will get me hooked.

Uhm, in that second image with the "Looters", is that a Sea Raider? You know, chain mail, big ass axe, bow, etc.
Looks like he had lost his boat and joined the forest bros.

It's their first week back from their winter holiday, expecting some big reveal is a bit optimistic. The office probably just collectively got back into the groove in the middle of the week. Long vacations do that to office workers (source: I am one, the office I work in has been almost comatose this week ).
