Instead of stringing you along and leaving it as a surprise, we thought we would take a different approach this year by being upfront with you about what we will be presenting in Cologne.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/73

Good blog and thanks for being upfront Callum. Best of luck at Gamescon. I am sure you will blow them away.

edit: I also love both of the screenshots provided; great detail and quite frankly beautiful. It surprises me a little that people can find anything to complain about but they still do. Especially considering this is still a game in development.

That screenshot though! Probably, Yaga would say map doesn't feel alive but other than that it is awesome. Trees look good. Grass is okay. However, that sun reflection on the water something else entirely. I mean it looks gorgeous. Also, the further from the shore water is, the darker it becomes.

Lastly, it seems we can establish fisher enterprices in the village which is near the shore.
Bjorn The Raider, the map feels probably alive, but it doesn't very well seen that it feels alive.
I do not see flying birds on a global map. Where are they? Where is the smoke from the pipes?
But I will not quibble - maybe it's just not there in this screenshot?

Dear Game Developers, thank you for making mixed forests on the global map - it looks beautiful.
I hope that you will also work on deciduous trees. Alas, while they look unchanged.
If this is the sea, then make a beautiful surf that breaks down on the coastal rocks (for example, as in Civilization 6)!
Comrades game developers - and still you fellows, thank you for your diligence!
Good luck to you!
I hope that on Gamescom the global map will look even better

That world map. Hopefully there'll be footage of the demo! It sounds great, 30 minutes is a tease!

I've stopped waiting for Bannerlord news and started waiting for your next comic. And I appear in this one too!!!

Whoa - the map is splendid, seems like the hard work paid off. Hats off to you!

It's great people will have the chance to explore the world as they please during Gamescom. I can only hope that they will be..."kind" enough to explore different possibilities(like the ones suggested previously on this thread) and make it available on YT. I am particularly interested in learning ANYTHING about the attributes, skills and perks.

EDIT: Offering us a demo at this stage is a great idea. We could test the game and TW would have the chance to hear feedback and find bugs and exploits before the game is released.

Im feeling really nervous about this one,I know they wont have a release date I know it but at least we will get to see some singleplayer stuff which is what I love..btw since the players get a chance to play a 30min gameplay id like to suggest something.

Can we get a downloadable file or a live thingy for the map? It looks finished and everything I hoped we could get to see every detail of the map by scrolling in and out not play ofc, but just look at the map and every detail that has been implemented in the game? I hope the devs see this

I would agree with this entirely and would suggest that maybe something be available that could be used as either a screen saver of maybe a desktop background but please not something that screams Bannerlord as I use my computer at work

I'm looking forward to what people will say from their time at Gamescom, and hoping that maybe some of those unanswered questions about the development blogs will finally be answered (like the stupid key symbol).

Definitely not the first to say it but the map, especially the reflection off the water, looks nice. One thing that draws my attention is the fishing dock, mainly how it looks like it's linked up to Cananc. I don't know if that means anything but I like to think it does. Also those fishing nets are a nice touch.

Is it just me or has Ostican moved?, I was looking at a full world map to try and figure what the place in the top left was called but then I noticed something weird. It doesn't close to any towns with a river going through, and the closest town isn't over a mountain range. So yeah.

Maybe it's just me

Also why is the golden eagle symbol (which I presume is renown) in the bottom left red?.

Oh, looks like TW's booth is a big one this year... It's almost as big as DC Projekt Red's!

Does this mean something?
I hope it does. I really do

Anyway that's all from me.

Edit: I guess I'm not done talking. Have those symbols in the bottom left been explored upon in a previous blog post?, just curious. Also I'm just going to take this chance to say that @Bjorn The Raider's new avatar looks really nice. Love me some Matheld.

Sounds like they have almost finished Bannerlord, doesn't it?

I mean, otherwise, presenting a full access demo version at the Gamescom would be a bold move.
Dont get your hopes high

Yeah, it doesn't really indicate that the game is ALMOST finished. However, it does suggest that TW may finally be ready (in the near future) "to give [the game] to players in some shape or form."

PLease please allow us the Demo too !

just so we can get a taste of what's to come ... and offer fixes / enhancements etc etc

Sog the Serf wants to start his Farming campaign ...
