'Notables now show in a the town menu so you don't have to go looking for them' - ok, good. Does this also include the gang leaders and area lookouts we've seen in those gameplay demo videos? You know, the ones you can take out and replace with your own units.

You can replace the gang with one of your companions along with some troops. Your compy is probably a notable, since he has a name, thus the menu shall show him.

You can also garrison bigger forces in towns, even if that doesn't belong to you. I think, that the menu will show them too, probably with an icon of a "captain", or with an icon of a companion, if you leave him there too.

For the original gang, i dunno. Maybe. That "Abalytos" guy looks pretty suspicious to me.
 
Crime biz should only be managable from bird's perspective when you are the godfather. Apple thieves just do it in the hard way.
