Just because you think it's crap doesn't mean it's crap for everyone else.

I think it's swell that they brought back throwing rocks and javelins.

So, let us find a "dagger sized" little detail we can talk about for at least 10 pages.
-We can use throwing daggers as melee weapons too.
-We can't use some throwing axes as a melee weapon.
-Javelins are more effective against shields than they were in Warband.
-Fast short bows.
-stones...

-they mentioned something like fun>realism (not like this but you can get it) in the bow part.
-They asked us to make a "Jereed mod"
-Throwing weapons can be crafted, so you can craft your own throwing daggers...
-stones...

I wonder if you can craft your own stone. From different materials. Limestone makes more damage, while Andesite is faster...

Bruh almost everybody knew these things,it was obvious. We want blogs about the world map etc, some real stuff.

Some of our factions make use of mounted archers (Khuzait in particular) and we are giving careful thought and consideration into balancing them with this the rest of our units, (which, admittedly, is something we didn’t quite achieve with Warband).

What exactly did you guys do to balance them? Are not they supposed to be annoying and op as ****?

What's next:
Movement: Moving around is key as is knowing your surroundings in this dangerous and chaotic world. Luckily you'll have your trusty mouse to watch out for obstacles like Trees, rocks and small farm animals. Using your keyboard W key will give you the freedom to move and drive forward. The letter A will be your ally in allowing you to sidestep left - a nifty treat.  D will allow the same in a more Right manner while pressing and holding S, watchout!! your moving backwards!

Looking About: almost as important as moving we have the ability now to ' look around' with the wizardry of mouse magic. Next week we'll talk about things to look at but not get lost in thought in such as big puffy clouds, tiled and non tiled floors and the naughty adventures of keyholes.

Every once in a while we will target a blog at people who are new to our games.

New people already had a lot of time to get acquainted with Warband.
What if they did not bother looking? What if it is their first time looking at this game?
Why do we have to assume that everybody "had a lot of time to get acquainted with Warband."

Love me some throwing weapons! My favorite weapon to use in multiplayer. It's really convenient to quickly harass and suppress opponents while being able to switch to melee without committing to ranged combat.

Mmmmm, throwing rocks  :shifty:

Throwing daggers ignore armour when used at range, but presumably not when used in melee... does this make purpose-built melee daggers even more worthless?

They are about as effective as a lump of frozen butter but don’t be fooled into thinking they are totally harmless!

they were a scary weapon in VC (with the lack of helmets). Those peasants could really hurt your army with just simple rocks.

great for destroying shields

will Bannerlord shields be affected by javelins/throwing axes by becoming heavier/harder to use, or is it the simple system of HP drop until it breaks down?

The ability to strike your opponent from a safe distance

how many hitboxes in Bannerlord? Just head (extra damage) + body, or can we do things like shoot at the legs and see effects like reducing speed?

cover while reloading

where is the gif???

I don't think many new people are reading these blogs: maybe one blog with all weapon types but not four or how many you did(weapon physics) Even a gif would've made this far more interesting or a short video about ranged weapons in combat.

Be realistic.

They aren't going to give out any really juicy information until the game is near completion and they have announced a release date: that way, they can build the hype in anticipation for selling the game.

O.K. nothing very exiting I guess ... but still there are interesting things to talk about.
So it is confirmed that some weapons can't parry , which is not of my taste , but what about rocks ?

It could be interesting if one could pick  them up everywhere around and throw them at the enemy to confuse him or just because he's out of javelins.
Will this be possible? It is realistic also.

I do insist that even small weapons would be better if they parry, in some extend anyway.

And what about the distinction of slots with some extra space for smaller items ?

In the previous blog or so, I suggested that there could be different types of slots so for example let's say:

3 or 4 belt slots where you obviously can't pout spears or shields (well a buckler maybe) .

2 slots in your back where you can carry the previous or a longbow for instance (while a shorter bow can be carried on belt).

2 saddle slots for extra sword, bow or a cavalry shield .

Obligatory "this blog was terrible" comment.

Seriously though, when will we get something good? I have no problem waiting if the waiting period is not left up in the air indefinitely. We're in limbo right now.

Guys, please stop showing discontent, obviously they didn't spend this whole week working on weapons, they're workikg on slmething bigger, more important, they probably haven't finished it so they're not gonna publish it on the weekly update, pr they've finished it but they programmed the continuation of weapons for the sake of having them together, like part 1 and part 2. Stop showing discontent, the release date isn't gonna come out this week or the next, stip hopong it's gomma come out, they're gonna anounce it when they want to, when they feel like they can deliver a real game. I would've loved to se more content but oh well.
