Wow really cool match ups. Its a bit dissappointing to see League table right now. In the end we all know that points matters most and Bucholz points doesnt change anything.
Unity is facing vs GWB and if they lose they may be out of the tournament. Probably LL will take their place if they can beat Malta. I just checked both teams matchups during tournament and gotta say this doesnt look fair at all.
Unity played vs Battle Brothers, GWB, Reunited(x3), ** and lastly again GWB
LL played vs Oh No, GP, Space Khergitsx2, CCC, DOF and lastly Malta
No offense to any team i just wanted to show these 2 teams matchups during the tournament.
Another joke is a team who had to climb Everest(As mitchell said ), nevertheless they are one of the best team in this tournament but we couldnt have chance to see their performance in this tournament.
AE played against, CCC,GWB,Trinity,EK,MoB,Wolfpack and lastly they will play against GP this week
GWB played against Space Khergits, AE, Unity, FT, Wolfpack, FT and lastly we will play against Unity this week.
In conclusion if AE beats GP this week they will be 2nd. And we can put our Bucholz points in our asses

So. AE lose very early on in the tournament, this means we have a much larger climb to make against the bad teams to get back up to the top, once we're up there we'll be fighting all the hard teams the same as everyone else. The fact reunited and unity are playing again just shows they're both on the same high skill level.
So shut the **** up and accept this gracious praise the tournament is showing the community. Or we can request the admins to make you play **** teams for the rest of the tournament ../.

Most people agree the format has a huge flaw and they have every right to complain about it since this is what a forum is about, really amusing how fags like mitchell cannot ever get that. In the current situation either GWB or Unity could be eliminated (just like Reunited was) and a much worse team could take their place in the playoffs. And don't go ****ing saying that you lost in week 2 thus have a much larger climb to make against bad teams in order to play against good teams again, guess what R lost in week 2 as well, later we had to play against Unity 2 more times. It just proves that the format sucks and you are trying to defend it by insulting every single person who makes such point. On the other hand I wonder what your opinion would be if you were part of unity or gwb, since neither of those 2 benefits from the system.
I am not willing to completely ignore that, either way, I was talking about this situation, not situations that may come in the future. I just said that it is ridiculous to come up with the issue of trust in this situation when everything was explained already and even the opponent doesn't believe Graf cheated. I also don't think it should be overlooked, but 4 weeks..? That is like double of what he deserves. And I can't even say that he deserves it.
Alright, because you are appearently a slow one, let me guide you through our reasoning step by step and let me help you get your moral compass back on track.
I. GrafBlade played with a modification that gives him clear information on the enemy class composition by prassing TAB. That is an unallowed modification to your texture files because it gives you an advantage in information that other players with the default version of the game do not have.
II. The rules we have posted at the start of the tournament do not allow for any kind of modification to textures files that give you any sort of information that players with the default version do not have, as you can read in the following rule:
§ 3 I said:
It is strictly prohibited to gain an advantage by modifying texture files or using game modifications such as aimbots or autoblock. Every player that is found to have modified texture files or using game modifications will be suspended from the tournament.
III. The last sentence of that same rule reads that modifications in Appendix A form an exception. Since so far his modification fulfills the criteria of the rule, it would have be listed in Appendix A to be allowed. It turns out it is not listed under Appendix A, therefore it is not included as an exception to the rule.
§ 3 I said:
Exceptions from this rule are listed in Appendix A.
V. Therefore, according to the rules, GrafBlade has to be suspended from the tournament. In our case the tournament is scheduled to go on for another 4 weeks, hence his ban length is 4 weeks.
VI. In no way does the rule include asking for the players intentions for using the unallowed modification. It could have been an accident, it could have been him purposely wanting to cheat, it all doesn't matter in the end.
VII. It also doesn't matter whether he actively used the information during the concerned match or not, simply because that isn't included in any way in the rule either.
VIII. End of the subsumtion.
I. Now, because you feel in your personal opinion, he gets hard done by, you are asking for a different way to handle this incident. Therefore, in order for that to happen, you have to have the fundamental believe that you can disregard the rules when you feel like it is appropriate, which is the basis for bias.
II. In the theoretical case of disregarding the rules and threatening the case differently than outlined in the rules, you are setting the precedent that it is acceptable to disregard the rules when you think it is appropriate.
III. This precedent applies to all future cases of rule breaks because for literally every incident you will be able to come up with a, in your eyes, sound reasoning on why the case shouldn't be treated as it is outlined in the rules.
IV. The reasoning you will bring up will concern subjective matters, such as intentions or overseights, in no way can you come up with a factual excuse for why the rule should not be applied, because that would be illogical.
V. Therefore, you are asking the administration to take subjective matters into consideration that the administration has no objective, transparent way of investigating. The administration, at this point in time, is not able to look into peoples heads to check whether the reasoning on why the rule shouldn't be applied is correct or a made up lie.
VI. As soon as you accept the first reasoning a player gave on why the rules shouldn't be applied, any other rule breaker will use that exact reasoning and expect the same treatment.
VII. As soon as the administration doesn't accept that reasoning any longer because they don't believe the player, that player will start questioning the integrity of the administration and call the previous decisions biased.
VIII. Because the administration gave into subjective matters they are in no instance able to proof, the administration has no defence against such allegations. Or even worse, the administration doesn't even notice they are all victim of unintentional bias.
IX. Therefore, you put the administration in a situation where they would have to accept each and every explanation on why the rules should not be applied in order to not be critizied of bias and ensuring fair treatment of all players across the board.
X. In the scenario that we now find solid proof that one player is aimbotting, we would have to let that player get away unpunished because we would have to give in to his reasoning on why he forgot to turn it off.
XI. In the long run you therefore end up with tournaments full of cheaters and an administration that will be unable to do anything about it, given they follow the principle of equal treatment for all players, which we are trying to do at this very minute.
XII. Therefore, with your post in which you critizise randomness, you are critizising an administration that has made a ruling that is perfectly backed up by the rules, and advocate for a tournament that has no means to defend against cheating because random excuses have to be accepted. Well done.
The argumentation regarding whether the information was used or not, and therefore whether the rounds should be defaulted or not follows the exact same logic, I honestly doubt that we could have made a solid case for not defaulting all the rounds without making the same mistake I have just described above. That's why Space Khergits deserve massive respect for their decision.
And now on a personal note, as if all this wasn't enough already for any sane person to question what you are, with your salty comments that you post at any opportunity that presents itself, trying to advocate.
Right after the incident happened, and before any kind of administrative action was made public, GrafBlade made a post here on the forums drawing our rules into question by trying to point out that the WNL Admin Mod should be listed as an exception. God knows why he made that post, but it is obviously nonsense as the WNL Admin Mod unlike his module doesn't give any kind of advantage, so it doesn't fall under this rule in the first place. The main point he wanted to get across however was that the rules in this case are unclear, which they are not.
