We are not talking only about the flashiest, most important things, such as warriors, weapons or impressive architecture: in order to be realistic, a 3D world needs to take care of its smallest details. 3D modellers do exactly that: they work like sculptors, giving shape to their imagination to create and populate the worlds we will “live” in when we play. In this week’s blog we talk with 3D modeller Ümit Singil, who takes care of such things – but being one of the most veteran members of the TaleWorlds team, he has a history of doing a good number of different tasks for the Mount & Blade games.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/36

But unlike your perspective, imo, lifestyle should affect stats as well. As in real life.

I think having to grind stats constantly in the game, or else you start losing them, would put too much strain on the actual gameplay. Waste of time for casual players. Would be suitable for a more realistic playthrough though.

Nice blog! It really seems like we are getting to the last touches of development, and this warms my heart, but I will not dare to theorize about it. hahahaha

But the skybox looks messy tou. And the symbols before the settlements names, those are from the faction symbol/king's banner?

Can we add particle effects to models/weapons?
"Yes, you can! You will be able to add particles to pretty much every entity in the game. However, adding dynamic lighting to your fiery sword could be slightly taxing on system resources."

Sunor's name changed into Oks Hall

Callum, thanks for the screenshot.

I have questions, but I will ask them a little later - first we need to carefully consider the global map, but I have not managed to do it yet.

However, one question I will ask now is the cities, villages and castles on the global map look exactly like in the game itself or not?

Not only the name of the settlements, but it seems the settlement itself is on a lower definition?

well they could post 4k screenshots, but they are posting low resolution (.jpg with low DPI, etc) ones instead (so it is hard to tell this kind of detail).

Maybe Callum could post a few heavy screenshots in this thread :?:
I support this issue.

So great to hear from Singil again! Been way too long since he last visited us

Is it only me who finds it funny that there's a road deliberately omitting what seems to be a major settlement?

Taleworlds, you really need to put more effort in names. I have noticed some of the city names sound too generic or stupid and it also extends further to character names. I saw the Battanian leader is called ''Caladog''. Do you expect me to take seriously anyone with 'dog' in his name?

I have to admit I like the world map shown on 2016 more than the current...

I agree. I would like to see a video tho to be sure.

Agreed who would have thought names in Warband would be better than the next title lol... .

I dont know why they changed names from Warband, I dont care if its ''uuuuuugh its 200 years back they had different names''. Well maybe yes, but Sargot, Pravend, Sunor sound like **** compared to Sargoth, Praven and Suno. But ''Caladog'' is the epitome of a bad name in my opinion, not to mention the memes that will come out with a **** doggo on his head when the game comes out (If it comes out).

I'm pretty sure Mendog (Mindaugas) would like a word or two with you for saying such things.

Mindaugas or even Mindaug sounds better than ****ing Mendog, dude.

The symbols before the settlements names, is that the king's banner or the factions symbol? I hope the Vlandians don't have that deer as a sigil. I would really dislike it, if that would be the case.

Third.

Also is it just me or does anybody else dislike the way the names are over the villages and towns now?

I like having having the colored bar and symbol tag for towns. I am mostly colorblind, and in Warband, I often times had trouble determining which faction owned a location just based on a slight change in the color of the font.

Maybe his name is written right to left, and it's actually 'Godalac'.

I think sunor isn’t in the screenshot
It literally is, same location of view, even rivers around city is same. Just check the map.

it’s probably Uxhall from Warband.
There was no Uxhall / OksHall in Bannerlord map before, you may want to google it.
