Beyond that, with no farmland where the legions could forage, they could conquer no more. They fortified their most recent acquisitions, the great trading cities on the steppe's edge, confident that the disorganized horse tribes beyond the frontier posed no major threat. Hi all, I'm one of the engine programmers.

We did have "SSDO" (Screen Space Directional Occlusion) before but we weren't happy with quality/performance ratio so we have implemented a better method but it is not merged in to development environment yet, so screenshot has no AO. Also game will provide you a lots of anti-aliasing options like FXAA, SMAA variants and TAA variants. If you have a beefy machine you can also increase render resolution to %200 for example. Engine also supports "Tessellation" and/or "Parallax Occlusion Mapping" for details.

Also all screenshots are work in progress, we are constantly working on improving graphical quality and performance.

Edit: Also I should mention that we are open to criticism, even though we don't answer all the things here, we are reading on your comments and taking notes.

Thanks for posting here!

Someone will again be indignant and say: "it does not matter."
Someone does not care, but for someone it can and it is important.

I don't say it doesn't matter, but I don't think you are right on this. The women you talk of in all the pictures seem to be wearing belts, cinching the dresses at the waist so that they have to then rest upon the curves of the legs and hips.
Please, here is a dress with a belt - the wide freely hangs (the second in the photo), and the narrow one bends slightly with the foot (the third in the photo).
Almost nothing has changed the belt.

platiya-noviy-god-32.jpg

The pictures you show are of a narrow hipped model, so it is no surprise that her thighs and hips don't make themselves obvious beneath the dress- however, in the second photo that you mention the bent knee of the woman does indeed distort the shape of the dress, just as in the game.
Sorry, I could not find a model with wide hips...

hope some one makes a proper star wars conquest mod for bannerlord hope we get a release date soon for 1 quarter next year release !

People, why does everyone write irrevelant entries to the topic ?
No offense but this blog is about Khuzaits not some Star Wars mod!
I mean I am not a moderator but I really got sick of this.
So please either open new threads for your irrevelenat concerns/ideas or find the thread about your concerns/ideas.

I swear the last revelant entry was written in page 3.
So please lets talk about sth like what parts of Khuzaits should be strong or weak compared to other factions in MP or SP or how nice the artworks they shared etc.

Surely you shouldn’t disparage the 21 posts you made after page 3.

As long as people are discussing the game and providing potentially helpful feedback for the development, I don't feel that a super strict on-topic-only policy is necessary.

Please also avoid flaming others in the future (rating their ideas/thoughts as irrelevant).

Did you really count it ?
Well I was generally talking about Khuzait horses and Khuzait horses were somewhat revelant to Khuzaits.By saying page 3 I kind of overexaggrated it but the last parts especially the women dresses really deserved another thread. At first it was about the new screenshot so it was revelant and to disprove that I shared some older screenshots but then people started to walk the arguement over those old screenshots and everyone forgot what the thread is about.

Ok, but wasnt it irrevelant ? I mean the whole ''The Citadel'' part is for this kind of things.Just because this thread is popular atm people are making the older comments fall behind.

So glad they're working on making Horse Archers actually commit to fighting. Nothing was more dull in Original and Warband then fighting Khergits with infantry and having to wait while they shot all their arrows and then finally got around to fighting properly, like men .

Eventually got so fed up that if I couldn't just ally with them I would hold position by the map edge so they kept slamming into the invisible wall. Cheap? Yes! But I just couldn't be bothered to keep waiting with shields up for 30+ minutes doing nothing...and running after them is a good way to lose all your men.

Yeah, fighting them in SP is a pain. Almost always go with Rhodoks, so a mix of infantry/sharpshooters w merc cav seemed to speed up the process.

I loved watching them use the tactics that made the Mongols so feared. They're going to be even more deadly in SP and really hold value as a playable faction. I never really found them enjoyable in Warband tbh.

I'm interested in seeing how these horse people handle a proper siege battle.
Will they simply get off their horses and fight as well any other foot infantry? Or, will there be a class of actual infantry that are responsible for all of the factions siege work?

They've talked about making mercenaries and bandits more of a thing, I wonder if the horsey factions will just hire races who are better at heavy infantry for siege battles.

Or perhaps they’ll be better at starving out a garrison.

Edit- with their mobility due to a mainly cavalry army, no peasants or caravans would have a chance of bringing supplies to the garrison.

Yes, either sounds possible. Although, i think hiring another faction in order to capture a castle could end up being complicated when it comes to 'handing over the keys' (realistically, anyhow). Another thing that just occured to me is attrition/starvation method (that didnt seem to work in Warband). Hopefully it works better here. The horseman would actually come in useful for chasing down caravans and supply convoys etc.

EDIT- I see I had the same ideas as Hetman...

Hi Armagan, I am glad you are back on the forum again. While I have no specific interest in Mongolian horses, I am interested in non-horse mounts. Warband only allowed one skeleton and one set of animations for mounts. Your answer suggests that this remains the case for Bannerlord. When planning your cheap and simple adjustments, please bear in mind what the community have attempted to do in Warband. For example Warg mounts in The Last Days, Basilisk mounts in Perisno and camels in Crusaders Way Expiation. Reusing the horse skeleton and animations in Warband is very difficult and limiting. Anything you can do to improve this would be greatly appreciated even if it is not used in your published game. I do not ask you to remake your horse models and equipment. I only ask for the flexibility for us to mod more satisfactory non-horse mounts.

I'm super interested in this.  Be it deer hunting in Britain or finding spiders and wolves in middle earth... it's a real bother how limited things are to be so horse-like (I wanna see that mentioned basalisk)  in AI, animation, and so on.  By the comments given, I don't think we'll get camels, game, dogs or whatever, but what do modders have here? Could I add creatures with unique animations, maybe ones that don't act exactly like horses? If the game can't support mods that'll let people ride giant bats, drop bombs, and lance eachother out of the sky, what good is it? I want to mod in a whole load of creatures and I wonder what's possible.
