Should I expect some behind the scenes vids like this? I believe it's not hard to make it.
And secondly, community's questions like these-

Sweet. It would also be cool if these questions could be answered (posted over a month ago): https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,366351.0.html.
-can be answered via a Q&A video, like this,

Rejoice, REJOICE! Transparency with Bannerlord is all we ever wanted, what a time to be alive, BIG UP the new and improved Taleworlds PR!

See, the impression I'm getting is that we won't be getting any more information about the actual game. It sounds like it will be dev profiles and interviews and here's where we work and how we work...but not anything further about Bannerlord itself.

Forgive my cynicism and tell me I'm wrong here.

Interviews about what exactly? Their lives? I dont care about the employees, did you actually need a PR company to arrange this? this should be done 2 years ago. We want the game or atleast an EA(custom battles etc.), and "hands-on demos with journalists " are you kidding me? Did you learn nothing from E3? Tell me they can atleast stream it so we get alot of footage. I fail to see how this will improve you relationship with the community as it has gone so far that an EA or release this year of some sort is the only thing thats good enough. The ****storm you will face if you dont deliver this year will be real.

That could be a possibility, but they may as well throw a screenshot or two. Also, the interviews may hint towards features that we don't know about yet.

A new blog, more worthwhile reading. This is good news. I hope you will be able to stick to the weekly schedule as I will certainly look forward to it leading up to more juicy news. This sudden spur of activity restores some more hope. Although I want to ask, was this blog written up last month in July? It is August now and Gamescom is scheduled to occur on the 22nd-26th of August. So when you write 'next month' you mean this month, right?

You are right in thinking this was written in July, we had to send it off to be translated in to 11 other languages and decided to delay the blog until this week so we could be fully prepared.

No worries, thank you for the quick response. I'm looking forward to the Gamescom stream.

Maybe they will add something like a development diary and not just fluff about the team. This way we can see what the team is currently working on that week. Doesn't even have to be that detailed or spoilery but at least the posts will be a bit meatier and make the wait for the game a lot more bearable.

Either way i'm glad they posted something. Hopefully all the silence means they were just too busy working VERY hard on the game.

@Callum_TaleWorlds, since you are clarifying things for people, can you confirm if these weekly blogs will contain new information on Bannerlord or not?

Don't get me wrong, dev profiles etc are better than silence. I just want to know whether to get my hopes up .

This.

We haven't got a lot to go on, especially considering what was originally promised with the previous blog posts. It would be nice to get some new info, and not just dev profiles etc.

I don't know what you mean about what was promised for the past blogs, but with the blog posts so far they have mainly talked about game features, though some early blogs focused on the different teams and touched on the processes they went through in developing the game. It sounds (from the words of this blog) like the emphasis on the future blogs will be the opposite, with most of the content being background and insight into the workings of the development team rather than specific new game information. I don't get the impression that they suddenly feel they have a lot more to say or that they want to reveal more details about the game. But of course that remains to be seen, and we only have one week to wait to get our first taste of the new style of blog.

Well, wow. I'm really surprised. Mind you, I'm still cynical about whether or not TW will actually follow through on this and about how transparent they'll actually be, but it's more than the nothing that we've been getting.

I'm also really surprised by this bit:
We realise that we haven’t communicated with you as frequently and as openly as we should have. We failed at connecting with our community, and sometimes it might appear as if we are not paying you as much attention as you deserve.
That is waaaaaay closer to a "Sorry, guys, we screwed up" acknowledgement than I ever expected. It's not something that I've come to expect from any developer, honestly.
