Is this not compatible with VC 2.032 and the latest warband?
Dark Age 2.2 compatible with Warband 1.172/VC 2.032 and VC savegames (2.xxx versions).. I confirm this

Hi man amazing mod keep it up btw i love the furs on the norse and i would like more if its possible :D i cant start new game i have the latest version 2.032 vc and 2.2 of your mod it goes to loading screen and then back to main menu.

I have VC 2.032 Steam version and everything works.. and on beta and on release

Describe the installation process..

could be: for VC when you click on the [start new game] button it checks your Warband version. If it is old then it goes back to the main menu.

TLDR: make sure you have latest Warband (1.172)

Thanks for the answers guys but i did a clean install on steam of viking conquest but maybe i will do a full uninstall of warband to check if it still persists btw on other mods i can start new game no problem this is actually new to me and i dont use optional pack

Steam keeps the game and DLC updated to the latest versions, so as long you bought and activated all the games on Steam the version is not a issue.

a mod for VC is not like a mod for Warband. Simple because a DLC has extra checks for game versions, serial keys, etc. First thingy you need to test is if you can even start a vanilla VC campaign.

for other possible issues you can talk with the modder (@ha3481). I would recommend you add extra info like your rgl_log.txt, PC setup, etc.

Thanks for the answer man i have all save slots free i have deleted the save files on documents i have 16gb ram btw i dont understand i had played an oldest version of your mod 1.4 and it worked perfectly i dont understand

I'm having the exact same problem as the above poster. I'm 40 hours into a blood eagle playthrough on their most recent patch, and can start VC games just fine. Problem seems to be related to DA specifically.

I'm able to start a new game on VC-Vanilla just fine (latest warband and VC), as well as on the most recent Blood Eagle/Warband combo.

Can you try re-packing and uploading the archive again maybe?

Hello, I have discovered that the problem has to do with a mismatch between menus.txt (from Vanilla VC) and the Dark Age mod. Specifically something in menu_start_game_0 seems to be off, and in a few other places it is likely to cause the same issues. Can we get the mod author to upload his menus.txt or include it in the archive?

Specifically something in menu_start_game_0 seems to be off, and in a few other places it is likely to cause the same issues. Can we get the mod author to upload his menus.txt or include it in the archive?
Dark Age does not change menus.txt

I downloaded from the Nexus and it works fine with VC 2.032

"set_version" in module config file from 1168 to 1172 it now works completely fine

It's at the very top of the file, and I can't open it now because I am at work, but changing that one line to reflect that my Warband version was 1.172 fixed the problem and everything seems to be working fine now.
