Hello,

a lot of people did ask me if I could make Kingdom of Andria open-source. After struggeling and thinking about it I did decide to make that. Kingdom of Andria has a lot of unique and never existing features which can improve all MP mods massively. Maybe someone want to make a new Kingom of Andria version of it.

The OSP package includes the whole Module System and compiled scripts. Also it contains the backend and a SQL dump. You maybe need to adjust some things cause I think it's not 100% sure the newest database version. But those small changes shouldn't be a big deal. Use the Andria 1.1 Version module next to the MS. Don't use an older KoA version.

If you are using the OSP make sure to use all credits of the Kingdom of Andria credits. Also embed:
"Using Kingdom of Andria OSP - by Illuminati/Dominic/domipoppe".

Kingdom of Andria is a Viking themed multiplayer roleplaying module based on Persistent World, featuring an expanded Calradian lore. The module will play on nordic continents where the original Calradian factions and The Old Norths are settled. The Old Norths, the ancestors of the Northerners of Calradia, wish to reclaim their ancestral land for their own people, as is their right. The Calradian factions, immigrants from Calradia, have the manpower to claim a stake of the land as well. There are many features such as a complete Day/Night cycle, a weather system with sounds, a seasonal snow system, custom nature sounds, a NPC system with automated merchants and travelers, NPC bandits, a few more instruments to play, a lot of new props and items, a few new animals and resources, new food and many more additions. All this together will provide the Warband community with one last big and epic journey before Bannerlord arrives.

Environment Sounds
At the start, I want to tell you something about the environment sounds.
The environment in the Kingdom of Andria is different from other Warband modules.
It is not only one thing, no several things, create the environment to one epic one.
The environment sounds get played on several events, that means, if you reach a special land, then a other sound gets played.
At a river, for example, a river sound, or at the forest some birds and on the night some owls.
A lot of these sound effects, like even cows or sheep will be added to improve the whole world.
Everything will sound like something, so nothing is boring and it's never just silent again.

Main Track
Now, the second part is our main track.
I've spoken with a musician called FORNDOM who gave us permissions on his song Resan.
It's a Norse-inspired song with some dark and epic atmosphere.
This will be our main track, e.g on the menu or in special videos.
Give FORNDOM a like on Facebook & Youtube.
Also, the music group called "L.E.A.F" and the artist "BrunuhVille" gave us permissions.

Join Screen Explanation
Now some people asked me about the new join screen, what it is and how it works.
Basically if you join our server this screen will be shown to you. You will see some helpful information on it like weather, news and so on.
As soon as you press "Continue your adventure" your character will get spawned in the world and the screen will hide.
There is no spectator anymore except for admins. We did this, to just make the immersion more cooler and role play like.

No spectator, but maybe you should add a suicide option? Is that possible?
 
What exactly you mean?
You can character kill yourself all time, but well, then your character is dead.
 
So what if a player gets glitched or something, they have to ck themselves if noone can kill them?
 
0.4 Dev Blog

Here is a new developer blog for you. We have finished the custom bulding system with which people can build fireplaces, tents, simple settlements and more stuff (coming soon). These buildings are not 100% persistent and will get deleted on a server restart. If you did build up a settlement then you will be able to request it to be permanently and a mapper will add it. The main job of you then is to manage diplomatics, economy and safety of the territory. The not-persistent buildings can be destroyed which gives us an awesome opportunity for great old nord (=vikings/sea raiders) raid events or equal.

You also will be able to see the whole atmosphere of the module with new items and all features like the Day/Night, Weather and equal stuff combined. A lot of stuff will be added, so keep in mind, the whole project is still WIP and might get changed at all time. We also made progress in the lore development which we will announce to you publicy soon.

The heavier gore system is at it's finished version. More blood, better blood, longer and more intensive fights will mark your characters!

This is the developer Blog 0.5 for the multiplayer hardcore roleplay module for Mount & Blade Warband called Kingdom of Andria. Hello lads, I'm back with some new update news on Kingdom of Andria. I did rework the whole sound system again, the normal NPC system again and I did implant a bad NPC system.

Normal/Friendly NPCs
These NPCs travel around the world. They have custom equipment, custom names, and a custom story. You can trade with some of them or just talk with them. The next plan is to make them having a voice. Basically, voice actors will speak for them and then they will reply you in game with a real voice. This is only possible if we find enough voice actors. They walk or run depending on how far away there next travel target is.

Bad/Enemy NPCs
These NPCs get placed in the map editor. They will spawn on that prop and patrol around this prop. Like guarding it. If you come to near to them or if you attack them, they will charge you. They will drop one item as a reward for you. If they knock you out, you will be wounded. It's not wise to charge them alone because these NPCs have custom levels, equipment and blocking abilities aswell.

Sound System
The sound system is now overworked and a lot of better. You will hear in the video that birds are singing because you are in a forest and it's daytime. If it rains there is also thunder storm sounds or at the night owl sounds. Depending on the whole weather, time and location of you.

The NPC System got overworked:
You can interact with the bots now by pressing F

Food:
Tons of new food & crafting receipts

Animals:
New animals & resources from animals

Items:
Lots of new armors/items

Inventory System:
Press F5 to open. It is like a backpack system with 10 slots to store items.

Fire Arrows & Oil:
Throw oil bottles to deploy oil on the ground. Shoot it with fire arrows to let it explode and damage everyone around it!

Animations & Roleplay Menu:
Animations like sitting on ground/chairs or sleeping. Also open the roleplay menu with F6 to walk/roll a die or other stuff.

Thirst & Hunger:
You have to eat & drink to survive. You can always fill cups with water!

Remember: All of this is WIP and will/can be changed to the release!
 
The module is done by 95%, we will release a trailer soon to announce the release.
Not sure if I will make one more developer blog before that.

The module won't be HCRP, just normal RP PW style.
