ANNOUNCEMENTS

 • The tournament will be starting in April!

RULE CHANGES

The following rule change has been made:

§ 2.2 GROUP STAGE

Each team will start with 0 points; winning a match will grant your team 2 points, and a tie will grant both teams 1 point.
Has been changed to:

§ 2.2 GROUP STAGE

Each team will start with 0 points; winning a match will grant your team 2 points, getting a tie will grant both teams 1 point, and a bye will grant your team 2 points.
Reasoning for this change: As most of you are aware of we have an odd number of teams, which means one team will receive a BYE. Therefore we need to specify what will happen to the team that receives said BYE.

Due to the fact that many people may not be aware of how this tournaments group-stage and single-elimination works, I'll briefly explain it. If you still don't understand how it works after reading the ruleset and what I write below, please message one of the administrators or post in this thread.

First off, every team in the tournament will make it to the single-elimination stage of the tournament. But that doesn't mean that the group-stage is insignificant. During the group-stage teams objective should be to get the best seeding possible, in order to have a "easy ride" during the single elimination stage.

Please check the bracket once again, as most of the matches have been changed.

Why did it change? Because I had to add two participants to the tournament (BYE and Take off the tags), and after adding them I shuffled the seeds. Apologies for the inconvenience!

Our servers are now up! You'll find them under the names UNAC_SERVER_1, UNAC_SERVER_2 and UNAC_SERVER_3. If you need access to these servers please contact the administrative team. Team captains and staff members will receive the admin password today, so if you fall under that category you don't need to contact us. The servers are currently using the WPL module, because we haven't finished our own module yet. You can find the WPL module here, we should have our module finished by the end of the week.

Shoutout to our sponsor MarkMods for always providing us with quality servers!

With all that being said, our planned start date remains the same. Week one will begin on April 12th.

MODULE CREATION

The UNAC module is now complete, you can download it here.

Or here, https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6rtidn3ze50q5pq/AABY9K2UCFRs_1a6LszFIm-ua?dl=0

We'll add a link to it in our fixtures thread as well.

MODULE UPDATE

We've updated our module, and it's already on our servers. You won't be able to change maps if you're using the old module, so you have to update.

Apologies for the inconvenience!

FIXTURE ADJUSTMENTS

After receiving several complaints about the faction imbalances in our fixtures. We've decided to make the following changes;

WEEK 2
The factions that will be played on Mountain Fortress has been changed. It is now Vaegir versus Sarranid, instead of Vaegir versus Rhodoks.

WEEK 3
The factions that will be played on San'di'Boush has been changed. It is now Rhodoks versus Nords, instead of Swadia versus Nords.
The factions that will be played on Reveran Village has been changed. It is now Vaegirs versus Swadia, instead of Vaegirs versus Sarranids.

Enjoy!

TRANSFER WEEK

§ 1.2 ROSTER said:
4. Any player who hasn't played in a UNAC match may join a team at any time. However, once a player has played for one team they may not play for another team until the transfer week. The transfer week will take place in the third week of the group-stage. After the transfer week ends, players will not be able to transfer teams, unless under special exemption from the administrative team.
TLDR; If you've been playing for a team and no longer want to play for them this is the only week you can switch teams.

NEW SERVERS

Apologies for all the inconveniences these servers have caused you guys. We managed to put up another two servers which will be used until the UNAC servers are fixed (dw the other two servers are from a different provider). We'll be keeping the UNAC servers up, but I don't recommend using them until we say otherwise, I contacted Mark like yesterday, so I'm expecting a response soon.

The two servers that will be used in place of the UNAC servers are; OE_Dojo and NA_Practice

Captains and ref's will recieve the admin password for them shortly.

Again sorry about the servers, I don't know what's happening to them. The servers MarkMods usually provides us with are great.

TOURNAMENT LENGTH EXTENSION

As many of you know, we've been discussing a tournament length extension with team captains and staff members for a week now. And we've finally reached a decision. Which is to extend the tournament by two weeks, giving us a six week group-stage instead of four. We reached this conclusion because our staff members unanimously supported the extension, as did seven out of nine teams in the tournament (the two teams that don't support the extension don't oppose it either, they just preferred the shorter length).

The primary reasons for implementing this extension are;
1) By extending we'd have a more accurate seeding for single-elimination.
2) This is probably one of the, if not the, last major NA tournament(s). So a lot of people want this want to last longer.

You can see the maps for weeks five and six in the fixtures thread.

Concerning lag in live rounds, if the server is lagging a ref can pause the match as soon as the the round is finished if it is deemed necessary by the attending ref(s or admin(s.

A rule will be written up soon and posted accordingly

MODULE UPDATE

We've updated our module, and it's already on our servers. If you want it installed on yours, here's the link.

RULE CHANGE

After discussion amongst the administrative team. We've decided to change the following rule:

§ 1.2 ROSTER
Once the single-elimination phase of the tournament begins, teams will not be permitted to make additions to their rosters
to

§ 1.2 ROSTER

When the single-elimination phase of the tournament begins, teams will only be permitted to make two substitutions to their roster.
We felt the original rule was far to harsh, that was the main reason for the change. If you have any questions, or concerns, please contact us!
