This tournament started off a suggestion by Marek, whom sadly didn't want to help administrating. As a somewhat new player to the scene, it interested me to see how old players work together with somewhat newer players. The first edition of this tournament has been fun for all of us. It was a pleasure hosting this tournament and it was great to see 'strangers' fight with one another.

The tournament started off somewhat slow, because we wanted to have an entire edition between the WNL and NC, which sadly didn't work out as good as hoped. Where certain weeks were delayed, we're glad that most of the matches were still played. Dropouts will happen, no matter what kind of tournament you host, but it was sad to see the amount of active teams drop from 14 to 10.

ABOUT TEAMS & PLAYERS . . .

Most of the teams performed awesomely the entire edition even though of obstacles. They happen, all of us did our best to solve them together and as the admin team, we realize several things went not the best way. As the admin team, if anything; we were delightful how the combination for almost every team worked out in the end. Captains did their part, players did their part and matches were played; and then we had an overall 10 teams who played to their last match in the end. We appreciate all the interest and participation. Well done all of you.

And the captains, you took a huge burden by volunteering as a captain. You led teams of players you barely played together before, or didn't know at all. But, you have done such a great job working together and overall being a team in the end.

Players, as always; thanks for joining. Combination of such unique personalities, skill-levels and vision; now that was amazing to see.

AWARDS . . .

Team Garnet was always a well-balanced team with elite players such as Shemaforash and Rayden;
under the leadership of long-time player and experienced captain Turambar. You performed just like a team entire time.
Congratulations!

Team Diquis was one of those teams where there were problems with activity among the players in the beginning.
But, that didn't stop them from working even further through the finals. Great performance from you guys. Worth to mention their captain, Silver for his never-lasting effort to his team.
Congratulations!

Team Tanzanite was considered to be the favourite during the entire season for their star-filled roster; such as Corey, Watly and Pendragon.
And, even though they couldn't be the champion, they comfortaby managed to grab their Bronze.
Congratulations!

Congratulations to Shoxi for predicting the winner, too!

What could be better?

As the admin team, we did our best to give you a solid experience of Scrambling. So, meanwhile the general opinion regarding the tourney was so much fun for lots of people including ourselves, we would like to point out some of our own notes regarding what things could be done better.

We could have done a better job with adjusting requirements jor joining the tourney both for Captains and Players eventually keep track of every team more closely. A decent amount of player dropouts happened, even Captains.

Streams didn't happen much. That was mainly because of not enough hype, lack of coordination and time-clashing with other major tourneys. But, that should probably change for the next edition seeing so many streamers around.

Time. That was a big question for the admin team before finally launching the announcement thread. It was coming to the end of fifth season of WNL, and NC 2016 was nearing at the time. Our decision was clear to launch the tourney seeing WWC also wasn't happening too much at the time. There is no regret, but problems occured for everyone limiting their available time for Scrambling.
