[Werewolf] Village of the Dead - Evil Win

Xardob awoke with the sunlight hurting his eyes. He looked around a little lost before realizing he was still at the graveyard. He had fallen asleep outside again. Something shined near him and he eyes focused on the object. It was the bottled from last night, almost empty. He could already felt the headache coming, and vowed, once again, to drink less next time.
He was down at the central squre when the first figure approached the village. Another familiar face, this one alive at least. "Welcome back, Adaham."

"Hi, old friend." Adaham answered. "It's good to be home again. I've been too long on the road." He looked at his friend, finally noticing the state he was in. "You look like ****. Something happened while I was away?"

"This? Don't worry, just another hangover. You know how little there is to do around here."

"This might be changing soon. I passed several would be hunters on the road. Our call has been heard."

Xardob nodded at that. "I could feel them approaching. Come, let's greet the warriors that will join us in this battle."

And so they came.  Veterans and greenhorns, warriors and priests. Whoopin, the man once hailed as a great hero and true savior of mankind was the first to arrive. Sootshade, the legendary crossbow hero, was next. This top hunter, with his almost inhuman reflexes, was a great addition to their forces. Corndawg, great entrepreneur of the meat industry,  arrived driving a huge wagon. He had agreed to serve as supply master of the expedition. Phonemelter, a young man just graduated from the prestigious Bodrax University, jumped from the back of the wagon, a little overwhelmed at finally being on the birthplace of so many myths. Jock joined him. The once great noble looked ready to fight the evils that lurked everywhere in the village.

A young woman who named herself Llandy was the next one. She didn't look very sane, but as soon as she produced a bottle of good whisky, Xardob would accept no objections against her. Next came Pizzaguy, a man wearing monk clothing and flanking Sooh, a woman who had the build of a great warrior, but looked sickly. It was clear to everyone they were greatly in love. Flying Fishy and Vermillion Hawk arrived together. The veteran pair of hunters escorted Bulle, a young nun with eyes filled with determination.  The pair eyed each other with evident distrust, but both were unwilling to part from the nun, who they looked over protectively. The last one to arrive was Somewhatpro, a traveler from faraway lands.

When they all gathered, Xardob addressed them "Welcome, everyone. This is the village of Zendar. As you may have noticed, we've seen better times. The village currently faces a curse and our dead can't rest in peace. This expedition was called so we can finally lift this curse and turn this village into an inhabitable place once again. I look forward to your cooperation in this matter."

Before he could go on, a figured materialized in front of everyone and interrupted him. "Sorry to interrupt you, Xardob, but I thought you should know." TSN said before anyone could wonder what was happening. "I sense evil in this group that you gathered. Four of these souls are tainted black."

Xardob sighed disappointed. He was hoping to avoid this for once. He looked at the scaffold built at the center of the market square. "You all know what this means. We have a witch hunt in our hands. Do your best to find the guilty."
He was ready to retire to his home and catch a couple hours of comfortable sleep when a high pitched voice was heard from near the gate.

"Wait, don't start without me." A young boy was running towards them.

Xardob looked at the boy. He could hardly be part his twelfth year. "Go home, boy. This is no place for children."

"Please, don't do that to me. I've been looking for my brother. I was told that I'd find him here."

Xardob thought he recognized something in the boy. "Who are you, boy?" He asked.

The boy stood a little straighter at this and answered proudly. "I'm Magorien Maxihand, squire to king Harlaus and younger brother of Magorian Aximand, famous knight of the kingdom."

Xardob could definitely see the resemblance now. The boy looked exactly as Magorian did a few years ago. "Very well, sir Magorien. Your brother is a good friend of mine. I haven't seen him for some , but you may stay with us for as long as you want. While you're here, you'll serve as my apprentice and be under my protection. I'll teach you skills that will help you in your search."

Special Mechanics
This game will have a couple different mechanics from the usual.

Hidden Roles
Players roles won't be revealed on their deaths. You will have to rely on your own hunting skills to get through the game. The only information the village will get is the number of surviving villains each morning.

No Claiming
Complementary rule to the above mechanic. No one may claim a role besides basic innocent. Any claims will be severely punished by the host.

Restless Dead
In the village of the dead, the souls of the departed still linger on. Dead players will be able to participate in the discussion during the day phase. They still lose their vote and whatever special abilities they may have.

Possession
If any player does not post anything game related for 48 hours, they may be possessed by the soul of a dead player, who assumes control of the vote and any abilities that role may have. To get control back, you simply have to make a game related post and control will revert to you after 12 hours. Lurkers, beware. Possession priority will be given to the most active dead player, as a way to reward the dead who still continue to engage in the discussion.

Game Rules:

General Gameplay and Etiquette:
  • You may not quote private Moderator-supplied information (either real or fabricated) of any kind.
  • There is no editing or removing of your posts. Please use the preview feature before you post.
  • There is to be NO personal communication outside of the forum postings unless your role PM specifically allows it.
  • If you have a role with a Night action your choices are due to me by the posted deadline.  If I do not receive your choice via PM by the posted deadline you will forfeit your actions.
  • Roles with Night actions will not be able to submit an action on Night 0 (i.e. during the confirmation stage).
  • Any player with a Night action may instead submit a “No Action” PM to let the Mod know that you do not want to perform your expected action that Night phase.
  • In order for all players to play at least one game day this game will start with a Day phase.  Communication outside the thread (if your role specifically allows it) is allowed until the game begins.
  • As a general rule you should aim for one post every 48 hours, minimum, to keep the game moving.

Voting, Deadlines, and Player Death:
  • A simple majority of all living members must agree on one person for a Lynch to occur (simple majority = ½ # of living players +1, rounded down).
  • Votes should be bolded and in the lime green color or they may not be counted (e.g. Vote:  Player).
  • Vote revocations should be bolded and in the lime green color or they may not be counted (e.g. Unvote: Player or Unvote).  Unvotes are not necessary before changing votes.
  • You may Vote:  No Lynch - a simple majority of these vote types are required to send the game to Night phase without a Lynch.
  • Votes/Unvotes that are bolded and lime greened correctly and are unambiguous (with respect to player nicknames/abbreviations) will count.
  • If no one has reached a majority of votes at deadline, a No Lynch will occur.
  • Once you have reached a simple majority no further unvoting will change someone’s fate.

Miscellaneous/Mechanics:
  • Votecounts will be posted once per page or once per day, whichever is less.
  • If you have an issue/problem with the game, please PM the Mod privately.  Do not post issues/complaints in the game thread.
  • The Mod may make mistakes - please point out any mistakes gently. Mistakes will be corrected where possible, but sometimes mistakes are made that cannot be reversed.  These will stand as final to be commiserated over after the game.
  • Please bold all requests to the Mod so that they don’t get missed.
  • Prods of missing players will be issued upon request or on the 4th day of no activity.  A player who has been prodded 3 times is subject to possible replacement without further notice.
  • Rules violations will be dealt with according to their severity, up to and including a Modkill.  Modkills may be accompanied by a change to day/night.
  • Any situation not explicitly covered above is subject to Mod discretion and will be handled as the Mod sees fit on a case-by-case basis.
  • If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.

The Golden Rule:

Please remember that this is a game and your main objective is to have fun!  Be considerate of each other, don’t get personal, and enjoy the game.

Roles

So I was walking on the beach while eating a slice of pizza with added ham and munching on a corndawg when suddenly I noticed it was so hot that my phone was melting and my feet were burning so I started whoopin and began running like a bulle (need I mention that I'm somewhatpro and kind of a jock) yes I took off like a hawk flying rather fishy and I llanded in the shade covered in soot. I was about to sooh my phone manufacturer but my xardog ate all my legal paperwork.

The little things in life

@XARHOST: The rules mention deadlines, but no deadline is set. Do we have one? Games without deadlines for their days tend to...well...suck. Also, if the dead can still post after their death, why would they have to shut up in Twilight (especially if their roles don't get revealed anyway)? Sorry for not PMing you, but I think the answers to those questions might be of public interest.

Seriously. All you need to do to make me excited about a game, Werewolf or otherwise, is to give me a crossbow.

Also, speaking of nobles: Vote: Jock

Nobody likes 'em.

Vote: SootShade

For breaking the rules of lime-greenyness

Damnit, FlyingFishy to the rescue...yo, FF, why so defensive about Jock...defending your packie?  :meh:
