We're to the single-elimination phase of the tournament. Congratulations to the Reign, the Kingdom of BlackTide, the Defenders of Faith, and Wappaw. The seeding for the playoffs shall be as follows:

WIN/LOSS

POINTS
WIN/LOSS

POINTS

1. TKoB
4. rN
7/0
3/4

103
87

2. Wappaw
3. DoF
6/1
4/3

86
87

SEED ONE WILL BE PLAYING SEED FOUR, AND SEED TWO WILL PLAY SEED THREE.

Teams with the higher seeding shall first get to choose a map from either of the two map categories (open/closed). Their opponents will then get to choose their map from the other category. The tiebreaker map for each semifinal match shall be decided by the first map chosen in the other semifinal match. For example, if TKoB (being seeded the highest) chooses Ruins as their map, then Ruins will be the tiebreaker map for the Wappaw vs DoF match.

In the finals, maps shall be chosen from the pool of maps that hasn't been played in the playoffs. The tiebreaker map for the final shall be determined using a random number generator to randomly select from the map pool.

Quick question about the tiebreaker selection processes.  What if the 1st map played in the other map was one of the maps already played?  Say Blacktide picks ruins first, but ruins was already played in DoF vs Wappaw?

Pretty sure it's tied to teams not to picks. So if Blacktide chooses Ruins, DoF can too. Just not in the final whoever wins.

But my question was, what happens if the tiebreaker map is a map that's already been played?  Based on what you guys said, if Blacktide picks Ruins, DoF can also pick ruins in our Semi-finals match.  So if Wappaw vs DoF goes into overtime, we'd play ruins again?

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time DoF has made it to the elimination stage of a major NA competition.

Congrats boys! You've come a long way and had a great season!

No. In that case we'd use the second map chosen from the other match as the tiebreaker. If that one, by some coincidental stroke of luck, has also been played, then we'll use a RNG to select an unplayed map from the pool to be the tiebreaker.
