Arrived at encampment site today (where my first reenactment is) about 6-7 hours ago. This is great. I especially love getting mouthfulls of blackpowder.


Additinally ate an authentic cookie today. I liked that more

Soldiers in the gunpowder era tended to be somewhat impaired on one of their eyes due to the cloud of smoke that comes up at the frizzen. This was hard to avoid, even when turning their heads away in the last second.
