DRAW NIGHT

Friday, 23rd of January 2015, 19.00 GMT

At 19:00 GMT, we will commence the Nations Cup 2015 Draw.
The competing nations have been put into different pots, depending on previous performances.
A team from each pot will fill a group, meaning that teams will not be fighting other teams in their pot until the knockout stage. The draw will be done using a random number generator and each draw will be announced individually in this thread.
The order of proceedings will be in reverse, we will begin with pot 5 and work our way upwards to pot 1. People are welcome to discuss the proceedings in this thread.

Yes.

I would have put Russia in pot 2 because they started cheating from the Quarterfinals and up if I am not mistaken. So they are (legally) Top 8

They were disqualified from the whole tournament, hence that's not an option either.

Either change the rule, or put Russia in the last pot.

Either change the rule, or put Russia in the last pot.

But having 3 Pot 2-1 Teams would royally screw the group.

Don't mess up with the fairness of the seeds for the sake of the other teams, plz

Thank you Folms for pointing out the discrepancy between the initial wording and the actual seeding.
The wording has been changed to reflect Russia's disqualification from NC2014 and therefore it having no result from the previous tournament.

Why is Russia still in Pot 1? They were disqualified last year, thus they finished last and should be put in Pot 5. Move someone from Pot 2 up to Pot 1, someone from Pot 3 up to Pot 2, someone from Pot 4 up to Pot 3 and last but not least someone from Pot 5 up to Pot 4. Then last year's results are reflected correctly.

I don't know what all you other guys are on about, but Folms is definitely right. When you get disqualified in a Formula 1 Training, you start on the last position in the actual race, that's how the admins should handel this case as well.

According to you guys' point, Norway should be in 1st pot too. Afaik they were a part of last year's Scandinavian team. But if you do so, groups are going to be unbalanced. So I think it should stay this way.
